33-35% of registered voters in alabama voted. Not huge numbers unless you consider they thought only 25% would vote.
The vote was 48% to 50% with a 2% write. You put the write in in moore favor it's 50-50. Then you factor in those who normally vote Republican that voted for jones. Like me. You easily have any one else, but a Roy Moore win.
This is not some yuge! Biggest they ever seen before omg victory for the Democratic party. It's a lose for the Republican party.
Unless of course you're ignorant enough to think that Alabama would ever be a blue state.
Moore was a terrible candidate same as Hillary. The democrats lost the presidential election, just like the republicans lost this Senate race. Anyone else as candidate, and it's a totally different story.
But you can remain clueless if you like.
LOL
Simple minded post you have there. Millions voted and you focus on 22,000 write-ins. Of course you do. From your earlier post you quite ignorantly assumed they were Republican. Maybe some were. I'd bet more were Independent. In your tunnel vision, you missed the more important people.
I don't thank people who throw their vote away. I thank the people who voted for Jones. They were far more important to Jones' win.
Too funny that you are butt hurt over this loss. So much so that you have to pour cold water on it. So much so that you have to focus on a small number of write-ins as the reason for the win. I'm not exaggerating the size of the win, I'm completely aware that Jones' 1.5% margin can evaporate like truth does in a Republican's speech. Trump carried Alabama by 28%. Sessions won the previous Senatorial race by 97%-2%. Alabama has never been considered in play for Democrats for decades. Jones' win by a margin of 1.5% is like winning a battleground state by 15% margin. Jones' win is something like a 15% or larger shift in voter preference for Democrats.
Stew on that number -- 15% shift in voter preference -- for a while. Think of how many states would flip to Democrats if 15% shift in voter preference is realized in a large number of races.
I suspect your butt hurt is more of a nervous feeling in your gut because next year will decide who controls congress for the remainder of Trump's term as president.
Speaking of which, you never answered. What does it feel like to have voted for the worst US president ever. One who endorsed a man like himself in the Alabama race -- a kiddy diddler.
