Bubblegum31 you are saying no lower than 69.8F lights out? For the record my personally temps I don't dip below are 60F/15.55C lights off and 68F/20C lights on but I've seen it said that while growing in soil one shouldn't go below 65F/18.33C because the soil chemistry may be slowed. Your lights out low is higher than my lights ON low. But my recommendation here was to fight rot so remove the spores, lots of air flow like the guys above said and I was adding to drop temps.

While talking about it lights on/off temps are strain dependent and dropping temps at lights out during the last part of flower can bring out some nice colors for example, some strains like to grow at 70F while others like it near 75F. Certain times of year when my temps vary indoors for veg I see different results so I get an idea of a plant's preference from that.

And just for the record as well, I'm growing Heavyweight's Dream Machine.
Don't know if anyone has any experience with this strain????

In my case, I had bad luck with low temps..

My last grow humidity was 60/65% and when I water humidity can hit 70/72%

I know thats crazy!!

But I had over 36 plants stacked together under 5x600w

And never had probleem bcz my temps never fall under 21c!

My lights on are 26/27 out is 20/21 never above never under!
5 C degrees difference suppose to be good between day and night..

High shifts and that trigger mold!

get a temp and humidity gauge that reads and records your highs and lows of each. you can get one for about 15$. keep in mind, as temperatures drop, the humidity will rise due to cooler temps cannot retain as much water as hotter temps so its very important you have air flow when lights are off(might have to get a dehumidifier/air conditioner unit since the dehumidifier exhaust will raise your temps.) great humidty for that size would be 35-40. I had it once and it smelled like onions so now I cant stand the smell of onions. good luck

Ok. I've had to cut a bit more out to make sure. The dehumidifier I bought is shit so I'm picking up a decent one later. My question is, is there such a thing as dehumidifying too much? Would it suck the life out my girls?

I wouldn't worry about it at this stage, your concern is that rot. I have seen it said that though that causing a stress response can make the buds more covered in resin so maybe it'll work in your favour.

Ok so I'm about to cut the plants down to cut my losses. What is the best way to do this, bearing in mind my mold problems? All seems ok at the moment but don't wanna take any risks. I see people mentioning to fast dry it. Is there a particular way to do this with out fucking up the flavour too much.
Thanks guys.

Just the same really, you want your humidity way down and good air movement. Plenty of space between them. They'll dry faster off the stalks. Keep anything that has been affected by rot well away from anything that hasn't. Ours dried in about 4 days and really wasn't too bad, we had no further rot develop during drying.

When I chop I stick the stems in some RO water for like 24 hours. Each plant will suck up about a half liter of RO water during this period. I've never had a problem with mold.

Just me...I'd snip out all the obvious mold(first before the flush) then flash nuke it for about 30 seconds to crap the mold before I hung it to dry :) .
