sessions: "life wrecking dependency", "only slightly less worse" than heroin

I reject the idea that America will be a better place if marijuana is sold in every corner store. And I am astonished to hear people suggest that we can solve our heroin crisis by legalizing marijuana – so people can trade one life-wrecking dependency for another that’s only slightly less awful. Our nation needs to say clearly once again that using drugs will destroy your life.

We will enforce our laws and put bad men behind bars. We will fight the scourge of drug abuse. And we will support the brave men and women of law enforcement, as they work day and night to protect us.

I read his "remarks". Ugh, the ignorance of this man. Either he thinks that people are trying to treat opiate addiction with injecting marihuanas or medicinal weed is not safe either.

Even if the clinical use of marijuana was only slightly better than opiates (which is a ridiculous assertion) as far as dependency, it would be a great relief to millions. He has no appreciation for the possibility that people are getting pain relief that precludes their opiate use. Or does he?

Either way, you would think that the Trump supporters would figure out the writing on the wall, but they still don't get it. "Nothing bad has happened", "States>Federal".

Nixon didn't hate mj. He was indifferent to drugs. What he hated was his enemies, and those included hippies, who happened to smoke pot. Instant target. Reagan expanded that to include minorities. That's where the real bone crushing began.

It was a tool to put political enemies in jail. It was, and is, used ruthlessly.

Last I checked 99.9% of dispensary owners are white as bread. Looks like Sessions is going to throw that targeting black people out the window and unleash the police state Obama created.
