Good evening!
I currently have two 15x15x8' rooms completed other than the ventilation; one is where I will be keeping all my big mechanical items & nutrient water (Quest 105, Eco Plus .5hp water chiller, nutrient doser, epicenter & rez) and that's being treated by a 9000btu Daikin minisplit. My flower room has minimal mechanical stuff; (6 LED's on LightRail light movers, 2 Hurricane fans, Co2 delivery & sensors / hydroponic pumps - using the CCh2o 12xl system) treated by a 15,000btu Daikin minisplit. I also have an RO system that will be supplying all the water. It's pretty much fully automated! All of that is rather trivial to my actual question but I wanted to make sure that information was available if relevant to exhaust. My plan is to use the conditioned air from the first room to supply the flowering room with an intake either from the Quest 105 or whatever makes sense - I'll be growing entirely during the winters in New England and would like to be able to MAYBE bring in some of the cold air in the final stages of flowering from outdoors (my minisplits only go down to 64 for night temps).
My question is this: What do I need in order to properly run a sealed set up like this? Should I be using the intake fan portion on the Quest 105 to introduce fresh, clean air & run a small exhaust fan outdoors? Should I not use the quest 105's built in vent feature? I'm so damn lost & information regarding this is pretty hard to come by since most people do their own thing in sooooo many different ways! I've also scoured the internet for information pertaining directly to "sealed" rooms and found a lot of people use hybrid systems and don't just fully seal their room (at this point, however, my rooms are completely sealed).
I'm currently pheno hunting & set on running only one strain at a time (and perfecting it as long as I can) - first up is Gorilla Glue #4. I've seen information saying that this type of setup is viable for honing in on specific strains. I'm not about quantity, but much prefer high quality. I'm trying to grow with minimal footprint.
Looking for clarification from someone who's built similar setups!
Thanks friends!
