Setting Up My New Vertical Cupboard

Yeah, basically this whole cupboard is an experiment :joint:

Originally I was going to try topping some, FIMing some, LSTing a few and leaving some controls... Then I smoked a few joints and just thought "fuck it"!

The plan is to promote a sort of hedgerow effect where all 3 walls are a solid mass of flowers

Getting a bit of nute burn on a few plants, so they are on plain water til I flower them, which should be pretty soon!

Some photos from today:

Day 19 of flowering.

They are looking really healthy, but perhaps too bushy and flowering doesnt seem as advanced as I would expect?

Using "aquavalve(tm)"'s to fill trays isnt really working - I'm sure autopots work perfectly, but converting trays with them uses a hell of a lot of water and leaves it sitting in the grow-room.

After getting stem-rot on one plant I've ditched it, and I'm hand-watering. Next time its going to be all drip-fed!

I was also expecting them to grow towards the light more, but they have gone straight up, so next time around, they are going to be firmly trained to the optimum distance.

I'm also toying with the idea of hanging netting, and doing a sort of vertical scrog :)

Flowering: Day 30

Things are proceeding nicely, though one of the strains has hardly changed in height since flowering started, next time around they will have to be allowed to get a bit taller!

I also realised I've only ever shown photos of the left-hand side, so I've included both this time :)

I'm using "Plagron Light Mix" in most of them, but a couple got cheapo potting compost from the garden center because I ran out :P

Vertical growing is made of pure win, you can fit so much more plant material into the same space!

Flowering: Day 68 - Harvest time!

They could go another couple of weeks, but its time this room started paying for itself!

Harvested the first dozen this afternoon, I am *so high* right now from my scissor-resin :joint:

Going to spend the rest of the weekend chopping, and will take some more pics tomorrow, but heres a few for now :)

Thanks skatterman, I'm so high right now :D

I've been super busy harvesting, and havent gotten around to taking any more pics yet, but I'll try and get it together!

One thing worth noting: Half the crop spent 48 hours in there with the lights out before chopping down and I can not see *any* difference in resin amount/appearance.

*shrug*

Thanks HATCH, I'm quite happy with this first run, and I already have a list of improvements which should makes things even better :)

It was amazing when I pulled them all out for harvest, just how much was packed in there!

Final dry weight: 3,470g - Minus whatever I quick dried and :joint: :)

yeah! i've seen how vertical SOGS are a fairly unexplored facet of growing. I plan on doing a micro vertical SOG with a 400w HPS...i've heard a shit ton of doubts but I'm a 100% can make it work and tear shit up!

Dont test the Stoner's Ingenuity!
