SG's Cab journey

I have been toying with this idea for sometime. The only way to know if it will work is to try it. I have been working on this for a long time. I will update this thread as I can, and what I show in this thread is what I hope will be the final design. The idea is to make a good cab for personal growing with supplies that you don't have to hydro shop for. The cab is a safe. The exhaust fan is a case fan and power supply bought at a electronic store. The veg chambers going to have 4 42watt cfl, I am currently running temp test, but have no fans for moving the air other than exhaust. Currently its looking like 90, but agian that isnt with extra fans, passive intake for the time being is 1 six inch hole and one three inch, exhaust fan is 4.5" Guess some info would help. Used pvc fitting , and the carbon filter pads. The velcro actualy comes with the carbon filter pad. The whole filter then slides over the 90 degree pvc pipe which is attached to a floor drain.

Nobody's responded yet that is sad. Anyways after that came the shelf, you have to measure everything a million times. The shelf board in the picture is pvc board I believe is what it is called. It is really thin but surprising held 50 pounds of weights, I have thicker for the complete shelf after I decide on how the air will pass through the shelf. There isnt going to be much room on the top but i figure enough for one or two cfls just for clones is good enough. Last picture is reference picture to kinda of show what the idea is all about.

That filter intrigues me. Is that fan going to be able to pull through that filter?
I was actually on your side until I built it. I was going to go with a double screen and filling it with activated carbon. Possible even use a squirrel cage fan. Then through research I was was given the idea that the more over sized the filter the better it would work (for pc fans). If you touch the black part with it on you can feel the air moving, and if you put a lighter on the other side of the fan it will blow the flame out. There really is alot of air being moved both intakes will suck the flame of a lighter and hold paper. Temps after 3 hours are staying at 85 next day off from work ill go longer.
 
I dont have a close up, I do have the box with the specs though. brushless 12vdc cooling fan 4.72" diameter 3000 rpm 85CFM airflow 320ma Hooked up to a 12v 500ma adapter
also how did you wire yours? It looks like yours is a 3" fan to me or is that just the picture?

Its three wire but there is a potentiometer hooked up so I can control the speed manually.

Edit: Just reread your post. I used a regular DC adapter rated for my fan, sniped the wires and spliced.

I couldnt find any old cell phone adapters or anything that put out 12v all I could find was 9v ones. Went to 6 different thrift stores and still couldnt find any. I just bought a new universal adapter and cut/stripped the wires off. I want to say the fan was 24.99 and the adapter was 29.99.
 
Materials 1-1/4inch pvc pipe 4 T's the type that the bottom of the T is threaded on the inside(my light sockets seemed to fit better) 2 clamp lights 2 light sockets that look just like the clamp lights minus the on/off push button(cut that off) 8 90 degree elbow 2 small zip ties Also need some pvc glue 1 tube of mighty putty or similar 1. cut the buttons off of the two clamp lights just make sure you can put it in the threaded part of the T and make sure you cut it so that it is in the on position. 2. Cut the wires off of the clamp light make sure you leave enough on though. 3. wire the extra sockets with your free wire, make sure you mark all the pos and neg and hook them up all together. 4. Put the sockets in the T and then put might putty around it to hold them in place. 5 Due to my space restrictions, assemble inside your box and glue pvc together. The pvc was getting really hot on the top part. So I put an extra fan there, it makes a huge difference the pvc practically stays cold now. You can feel the fan sucking the hot air. First picture is lights off from the top Second top lights on Third is underneath lights on Fourth is top lights on
 
Well I was supposed to have a update and it looked really awesome. Then I went to shut the door and it wouldn't shut forgot about the top locking bar. So now I am constructing a mini cabinet out of cardboard that ill put in on the top shelf, then ill remake that with polyboard and take pics.
 
So last picture is Polypropylene board cut to size. I then used reflective duct tape to tape them together. And the other pictures are with the door opened and closed. I will buy some felcro so that when the door shuts it is light proof. Still will need to add a small fan and cfl (maybe 2) and a intake hole. This will be used hopefully to be able to have some clones, or a mini mother. I just wanted to have a little space to try and go perpetual.
