Hey guys I grew outdoors this year and got one seed from a plant so i decided to plant it. The thing sprouted up yesterday and I was wondering how to make the plant short and bushy. I have no idea how to come about doing so. I have a 320w mh bulb coated and then i have 320w of t5 lighting. I was hoping for a quick turnaround like 3-4 weeks veg then the 8 or so flowering. how can I go about making thins thing short and bushy. Any help would be appreciated :)

LST FIM theres a bunch of ways to keep the height down research those two methods and then you will understand how to keep things short but those are the best two ways also look into SCROG if height is a issue.

shittons of light...including a crapton of side lighting to keep it short and bushy. You can also top it and LST the side shoots down to keep it short. If you are wanting to only do 12 weeks total you would have to do a hydroponic grow to get her as fat and finish her as quickly as possible...using soil you'll probably go 16-20 weeks

lst and fim what does that stand for? yeah my outdoor plants (8) started indoor so im going to use all the lights i have on this one as long as i can keep the finished product around 3-4' tall. would that size be around the 16-20 week mark?

if you want that big of plants dont do shit to them just let them grow for the 4 weeks veg and they should finish out around 3-4 ft tall the point of keeping them short and bushy is so you can veg longer and produce more top colas. I never top my plants thats giving up a cola and something that is truly not needed to produce a short and bushy plant. Just look up on the forum LST and FIM you dont gett all the info for free meaning do some reading man no matter what people tell you on here dont listen to it. Spend multiple hours days even weeks reading up on different styles and then do a test run and try a few different methods one method to each plant and see what gives you the best results that is THE only way to go about growing most of the shit and people on here dont have a clue and only go by what others say.....

yep, started googleing shit and LST looks ok, can keep it low and look like it will get mostly main colas. ill just try some shit out if it works it works, lots of pages on LST and FIM. I got a few weeks before its time to start ::)

how does topping at the 3rd -4th node then waiting afew more weeks then LST the new parts........im gonna experiment with this one see how it goes thee quick turnaround is not an option anymore. Also because this is in a basement and winter is coming up will the cold temps be ok.....probably around 60-76 degrees depending on how often the furnace kicks on or should the lights keep it warm..fuck it ill just get a temp gauge and go from there

When you start your LST or training pm me i will help if needed. But reading then doing your own tests is the best way my man. Just start slow on the LST and then 30 mins later or so take the branch down further but its extremely hard to kill one of these plants and i will be here if you run into any problems. Ask me as many ?'s as you need once you get a hang of LST and fim i will be able to give you better pointers when you have somewhat or a handle on the methods. Just takes days to write out all the info you can simply find yourself kinda thing;-)

that is so true, This one will be a test run, and ill be sure to ask if needed :) thanks. but yeah my grow i dropped the hi-bay light i was using and it took out 3 plants, sone of them got topped by accident when the bulb burnt the plant it was really cool snapped branches and they healed themselves with a little help nothing major happend and it was a 50lbs light that fell on them.
