Hello gang,

Looks like my 5 seedlings are down to four with the death of one in soil that decided to grow down instead of up....

here is a pic of my grow container.

Here are a few pics of my ladies that will be hopefully producing some delicious smoke. One was seed shell bound so i assisted in removal so i will update to what shock it took.

These are an autoflower Short Rider Feminized from Nirvana seeds. All 5 germed but one grew funky so no harm either way. Was really worried about leaving them for 3 days while i went to family for christmas but it could not be helped. They were very thirsty. Drop me any questions you have about my grow or really anything in general.

Nice start, What kind of lighting are you running?

Try to inform us about your grow a bit more so there is more to discuss =)

I'm running six cfl on them at the moment pushing out 138 watts at the moment. I am also running a 120mm fan for exhaust. I made the intake passive with holes at the bottom(which is elevated from the ground) and small gaps left for the lid. I will be replacing these bulbs with bigger ones that will equal 252 watts but when i started that they ended up making my box too hot. I'm going to mix them today and see what i can get going.

ok i added another exhaust 120mm fan and carbon filter system on today.

i have a 80mm fan pulling air from the lights to the exhaust to try and help. im wondering if i should make an opening in the bottom bucket and attach the 80mm fan to it to help keep temps down.
the one 2nd from the left was locked in the seed so i helped it out yesterday evening. it looks good up the stem color wise but the true leaves are scrawny and pale colored.... i watered with plain water and hopefully that one will recover. they look good for 8 days old if i do say so myself.

lol its been a bit since ive updated and here is the progress
these are from today which is day 18 for these ladies. all three look good except one is slightly droopy and is slightly yellow on the lower branches. i think that one might need to start on 1/4 strength nutes next watering but im not 100%. i flushed it to see if she was just really thirsty since im using fox farms soil so it should have all the nutes it needs for another week. oh and let me know if you think i should transplant over to my 10" pots now or wait like another week. they are an autoflower so im thinking sooner rather than later.View attachment 1367496View attachment 1367497View attachment 1367498
btw i just ordered my new 100w 6band led grow light to bring down the temps in my setup and it should be here next week so this is going to be a led grow from then on. this is my first grow at all though, so please be understanding in the yields with a newbie on board.... oh well im goin in lol

I would definitely transplant them. I was going to ask why you only half fill the red pots with soil.
There getting pretty big for the cup i'd say, also i was wondering the same thing about half filled up with soil, anyways looking good! Good luck!

wow i feel really bad that i got subs and i havent updated in forever so here is what i have so far and i will date everything on the progress.... i will post todays pics in a bit when my ladies wake up.
1-15.jpg1-15_1.jpghere they are at 1-15. i was showing off the bushy one here.
1-18_2.jpg1-18.jpg1-18_1.jpgnow at 1-18 you can see they EXPLODED!!!!!
1-23_3.jpg1-23_2.jpg1-23_1.jpgat 1-23 i realized that i should have used daylight cfls as they are leggy now and i now understand that i will need a tent because my box is now screwed becuase i will bleach them with leds if i dont take the top off and free vent my setup so i ordered it a few days before this.
1-25_1.jpg1-25_2.jpg1-25.jpghere they are on 1-25 in the new tent with some suplimental cfl's for the flowering which worked AWESOME. I ramped it up and will show once the wake up but I am getting the hang of indoor growing. The main mistakes i've made are really easy to identify so that next grow i should be good to go.

thanks guys for the subs i just found out im getting a bonus and a fat tax return so i will be buying a few more led panels within the next week is what im shooting for. if that pans out i will slap 2 240w units in there and use cfl's to suppliment heat for the tent. im thinking with over 200w total per plant i can flower these something fierce!!!!

nice setup i have a rubbermaid grow box similar to yours. how exactly did you make those carbon filters.. like where and what exact materials were used. i am familiar with the mesh pencil cup design and am assuming that is some kind of variation. i have a couple of exhaust fans hooked up but have not assembled my filters yet. just looking for some advice from someone who just pearled the shit out of his. yours look nice

thanks bro you guys are why i keep posting this up.
so here they are today.1-30.jpg1-30_2.jpg1-30_3.jpg1-30_1.jpg
I watered them yesterday and picked up big bloom and added it full strength to the mix which i found risky but they love it so i will keep feeding full strength with 2 nutes plus molasses and these buds are going to get fat. im thinking of buying my 2 240w panels from gotham on monday but i will think about it. If i do i will call.
here are the new bud pics of my ladies at 6 weeks from seed.
