Should I add more watts to hasten my harvest?

I have a Super Silver Haze almost ready to harvest. This is an indoor, soil set up. The trichomes are clear but mostly cloudy with a minimal amber. The Top part of plant is heavy with bud but the lower branches still maturing. The weather has been cold ( New Mexico) and temps in tent range from 50 to 70 degrees. I believe the colder weather has hastened its maturity on bottom growth. Its under a 400 watt hps in a 4x4 tent.

My question is, if I put another lamp, 150 watt hps would it help speed up the harvest and help bottom buds mature? And I know this is probably a stupid question, but cant I harvest tops and let the rest of the plant mature?

I have had a summer outside harvest, and one other tent grow. So, I am still quite new as growing is concerned.

Input please. I just got a 150 watt hps and think introducing to the 400 watt might give me a fine harvest, but , I'd rather put this question out to you all first to avoid any problems perhaps Im overlooking.

nope.. wattage doesn't speed up ripening. Patience, and I'm learning a bit about dropping to 10/14 for the last few weeks will hasten the ripen.

Yes you can absolutely harvest the top half and let the bottom mature. I personally don't but I've seen plenty of good results on this website.
