Should I Aerate water for feeding in soil?

Just curious if anyone has an opinion about aerating my water before I feed it to my plants. Im in 5 gal smart pots with Roots Organic soil, that has been used up. Im using AN Iguana Juice and some other small additives. I have an aerocloner that I didnt really like, so I was thinking about using it to aerate my water and nutes before feddings. Thoughts? Is it worth the hassle?

more oxygen to the roots is always a good thing! Doesn't sound like a bad idea to me :)

as far as I understood, the smartpots were supposed to add more air to the roots as it is. I also have an aero cloner I'm not a fan of, as well as iguana juice, and I think combining the two just to add a bit of air to your water will just result in a lot of cleaning the aero cloner...? why not just leave some room in a jug and shake the shit out of it to aerate your water? You can however, heat your water to 74ish before watering. Your plants will be able to use it faster.

Good to know. Thanks for your thoughts. I had thought the same thing about shaking the jugs. Especially considering thats already how I haul my water.

I aerate all waterings for 24 hours prior. Although, I almost always use AACT for every feeding anyways. Sometimes just a very basic light EWC, Mol, Kelp feeding .. alternating with a heavier tea with guano.

IMO, it certainly won't hurt, but I doubt you'll see any actual benefit either. The amount of extra oxygen you're going to get dissolved into the water by aerating it this way (especially if the water is at room temperature) isn't all that much. We're talking at BEST a few parts per million. For a fish that needs to breathe oxygen through its gills, that's something, but for a plants roots. . .eh. Incidentally, the hotter the water the LESS oxygen it will hold (not more). Heating up water is a good way to REDUCE the amount of O2 it retains, not the other way around.
