should i be concerned about my grow?

ok this is the story. about 10 mins ago i had 2 buddies over smoking a blunt and playin some video games, just relaxin n chilling.
one of my friends has a small grow op in his dorm with 9 plants, 1 flowering (lowryder autoflowerin) n some other bag seeds of some dank we found (seeds off the best smoke we had in town, him and me were growing a few of the same strand), and he also has no phone (this is relevant).
the other kid is basically my friend bitch (drives him around, helps pay for the bud he reups on to sell and helps with the grow op), he has a phone.

So were putting out the blunt and my friend with a phone gets a call from the dorm. they asked if they were with my other friend, he didnt know it was the dorm management so he says yes and they tell him to bring my other friend back to the dorm.. "There is a problem". all of a sudden me and my friend with the phone start getting calls from all our friends in the dorm saying theres like 4 cop cars outside the dorm and theres 6 cops inside looking for him.

Im wondering.. they have my name (and only my name) on their sign-in list for visitors past 9pm (safety rule i guess its lame cuz i go in there fucked up n they force u to sign in) to see my friend with the grow, my address and phone numbers are unknown to them and my name was never mentioned by anyone to police to dorm staff since i tend to lie low and not give my full name too often. should i be concerned?

oh i forgot to mention, hes trying to leave town as we speak, should i be concerned for any nosy pigs coming to my doorstep? because they were asking alot of my buddy's known friends around the dorm for his whereabouts

get rid of it or hide it really good thats all i can say dont let those fuckin cops in ur house without a fuckin warrant either and make sure ur house does not smell like weed dont leave anything weed related visable and DONT LET THEM IN UR HOUSE ... they ask why because u dont want them in there

damn that sux.. yes you should be concerned because he obviously got rated out on... sorry to tell you this, but i think you already know that you should play this one safe... unless you feel without a doubt that there is no way they can find out where you live..

yeah its really well hidden, im in the process of putting my bongs + pipes + ash treys away into a locked storage container for now and turning off the lights at my place, the doors locked also

wash your ash treys, they can get the ash and do test to find marijuana resin on the spot... not kiddin. they dont fuck around anymore

im not growing in a dorm lol, unless they cross reference my name to the collage database and find my address that way, i think i forgot to change it from my address from my old house 5 hours away though.. im pretty sure my address is safe. I know my rights against police (too many law classes in school + a respected lawyer as a step dad), i know i dont have to let police into my place without a warrent, i know if i lock something in my place they need an additional warrent also to get to it, my grow box isnt locked but its concealed so even my sister in my apartment doesnt know about it, i dont think a cop looking for a fugitive would be too concerned about a warrent to search my entire closet, its very small and if they open it up they couldnt even see the grow box unless you moved like 5 things out of the way, although my room is a mess of pipes, weed, ash treys, empty beer containers, the list goes on. so i might clean that up a bit.. maybe clear my history

i just found that my friend made it to a friends house on the other side of the state.. im more worried pigs might come ask me questions now

It's always sad to hear the pigs getting involved in people's grows!! There's no need for it because weed has never hurt anyone. I'm interested in seeing what happens tho so keep us updated!! Good luck!! I think you will be good as long as your plant's are outta sight of the front door (which, like you said, they are.)And it doesn't sound like they have any reason to suspect you're growing in your place. thanks, i found that the story has been all over the news, the dorm i chill at alot on the fucking news. theres a warrent out 4 my buddy whos at the other side of the state by now

lol i know but thanks again.. i wont talk to them, especially not near my apartment. and as for a lawyer, well i know my lawyers number by heart cuz its my stepdad.

if i was in any danger, it would have shown itself already. my name probably never even came up n i got paranoid for nothing.

it was a good excuse for me to tell everyone who knew about my crop (even the people i trust with my life) that i cut it down though. so i dont have to worry about the same thing happening to me

anyways, when your friend's called to let you know there were police in the dorm, you did not know what was going on.

you also did not know anyone helped anyone leave town.

i suggest you edit your past posts and remove that information.

You have told people about your crop.... If they are questioned and put under pressure and if they don't know their rights and believe they might be facing charges too do you think they are going to protect you? Get rid of your crop for real or put it somehwere out of the place you are living at. If you have any thought that it could eventually come to you you should GET RID OF IT! A few months of lost growth is not worth your LIFE. getting caught will mess up the REST of you life in so many ways! its not worth it! Last point you live in an APARTMENT, they do not need to get a warrant, all they need to do is ask the landlords permission and they have access to your apartment. Landlords always comply with cops, they don't want "criminals" on their property. You have no rights as far as the space in your apartment goes, your landlord does......

good call of the lockbox though, its always nice to know your 4th amendment rights, and by that I mean more then what the constitution says since that does not actually tell you anything of your rights, supreme court cases and the controlling rules of law set down in them tell you your rights. if you can lock your plants up, then you are not in such a bad situation having it in your apartment, but still risky if they find any kind of marijuana/pipes which would likely give them a good chance of getting a warrant for said lockbox/growbox.

You say apartment, if your renting/leasing check your lease/rental agreement, alot of landlords have it in the lease that they may inspect the premises. So don't think telling the police no is always a sure bet. I know in my standard form leases any property I lease can be inspected by the property management company I work for. Also, if the cops have a hard on to get into a house an anonomous call saying that someones life may be in imminent danger will get a doorkicked in. Last I'm not familiar with Fl. laws but in my state if there is a chance you are harboring a fugitive i.e your friend a search warrant will not be hard to obtain. I interned for an attorney one summer and could give you a dozen more scenarios and even case history on law enforcement circumventing "right's and amendments". Just a heads up.
