Should I chop because of lighting?

I have 2 plants, Sour Diesel...I HATE the idea of getting rid of one on them, but I only have 5 CLF's working on them, and at the rate they are growing, I'm not sure I can sustain enough light to flower them both properly. They're both about 2' tall and they're 12 days into flowering. Should I concentrate all my energy on just one or try to space the lights between the 2? They grew WAY too quick and it was my fault that I started my 12/12 late...I'm looking for good yield, my next grow will be just one plant until I can get a better lighting system.

What's your lights wattage???? If you're happy with having just one plant, I don't see why you shouldn't.. Definately if you're worried about both of them being schwaggy?

I don't know how much trouble it would be for you, but you can try alternating their sleep cycle so one is asleep while the other soaks the 5 cfls. Just a thought.

Shit, rotating their light is a fucking great idea, just don't know how I'd do it. the wattage is 130W of ACTUAL lighting, 500W equivalent. 2700K bulbs. I'm just running out of outlets, I'd need another surge protector to plug into the one I have. Fucking cords EVERYWHERE, haha.

How big is the grow space? do you have good reflection? I good rule of thumb is at least 100 W per plant. If I were in your shoes I would keep them both, find a way to rotate their sleeping patterns.. or wash moms car for a quick buck... It seems senseless to grow the poor girl to flower stage and then chop her down.

Plan before you plant.

Puff.

Oh I planned this one, they just got bigger than I thought they would faster than I thought they would. Biking to the store when it's 35 degrees out when I already bike to work is quite a deterrent for more supplies. I'm not going to waste money on more fixtures, I'm just going to invest in a better lighting system when the time is right. I have a buddy I work with that I gave a bagseed seedling to a while ago, and he never flowered it so it's about 4' tall and doesn't have the lights to sustain it in the flowering stage. So, I'm going to let him adopt one of my plants so I can concentrate all my lights on the other. Are you talking 100W of actual or equivalent? My space is about 2'X4'X4' I think, I'll have to make sure in the morning when the lights come back on. Mowing lawns here isn't exactly doable this time of year here...

You go by actual, not equivalent. Keep in mind, what it's "equivalent" to are incandescent bulbs, which are highly inefficient compared to HID (HPS or MH). A 100w HPS will "actually" have more lumens than 100w of CFL.

Word. Well I'm going down to the one plant, the deed is already done. I'd rather grow a proper lady than two half assed ones.
