Yeah you need to get a good close up look at the trics with a loop to know for sure. It looks nearly there if not all ready, maybe another week or so.

San Jose WILL rain in about an hour! if not less - If you live anywhere near that area take precautions if it isn't raining already.

WAIT!.......WAIT!.......WAIT!

Don't listen to some of these Premature Plant harvesters, you still have at least 2 weeks before your going to be anywhere near peak potency/ Peak yield. Also you have at least 2 more weeks of non freezing temps so hold out man and you'll be glad you did. Your prob only at 8 weeks tops and that's if they started flowering at the beginning of August. Anyway it's up to you but no way is it amber trichs all the way yet and your calyx aren't even barely swollen yet, not to mention I can still see the pistils.

You dont want the trichs to all turn brown at that point the plant is losing potency. Peak THC and potency is when all the trichs are cloudy.

i think i will hold up for about another week an see what it looks like. and yes it did start to flower like at beginning of august but i also thought u wanted only a lil bit of amber trichomes thought they had to be cloudy. any one know of a store where i could buy one of those scopes to check trichomes here around the san jose california area?

OK. I'll wait. It didn't rain here that much. Just a sprinkle last night. Next week it will be high 80's again for 10 days straight. After that we should be ready.

go to Amazon and search for hand held microscopes or loupes. i bought one of the minature microscopes with free shipping for under $5. GL

the lower buds probably werent getting as much light and probably used up all its energy. Or its depleted of nitrogen and will start sucking the life out of them one by one. Its a good sign that your plant is almost ready. The trichs look cloudy so as soon as you start seeing an amber tint to your buds then thats the best time. I mean even just looking with the naked eye you should see the change. It will bulk up for another week or so and more and more pistils will retreat into the bud.
When most of the pistils are lifeless and brown or orange then thats a good indicator but always go bye the trichomes 10-20% amber is perfect for good indica while a 5-10 is good for a nice sativa. IMHO let it go another another 1-2 weeks flush it again and then let the dirt dry out most of the way and then chop. That way youll have a good head start on the drying/curing process. None of that THC is psychoactive utilll its dried. Dont fuck up those good lookin girls if you pull now youll wish you hadnt. like ole boy said you have a good 10 days of great weather ahead. Let her enjoy it and you will too.
