should i keep the light off for 24hours before i flower?

title says it all really,what are peoples opinions on keeping the light off for 24hours or just switching straight to 12/12?

I didn't when I switched to 12/12 and my plants started budding quickly and they are doing fine.

Dont do it, it makes no sense really. The important thing to know is that once its getting high enough flowering hormone levels adding more to it doesnt make a difference. Giving it more dark is supposedly beneficial because since the flowering hormone level is dependent on how much light its getting and that an extra 12(or any number. ive seen people say keep in the dark for 2 days before even) hours of build up will somehow trigger flowering to quicken because it raises the hormones amount. Like i said before though once the flowering hormone is at the level needed to trigger flowering adding more wont make it flower faster or anything like that, it will just give your plants 12 less hours of energy to start your flowering process with. So it inhibits it if anything.

i couldn't imagine any plant being happy with so much darkness, however i have heard of many people keeping the plants in darkness for the last 2-3 days which is supposed to increase thc production according to some theories...i don't have thc testing equipment to test said theory however

I've heard of people doing 24-36 hours of darkness before flowering and also heard of people going dark for the last 24-36 hours before harvest.

so should i jus go straight to 12/12 then ye?

I have tried both ways and the outcome is no different.

Yes. That is what you should do.

I do the 36 hour dark at the flip... for example if the lights go off wed night I turn em bback on friday morning... I usually have signs of flower development d days after the lights come back on...

i turned the light off last night at 10 and am going to switch it back on at 10 tonight

well too late to say anything i guess but imma reply anyways haha....ive ALWAYS done it.... once i flower i give it a big feed and keep the lights off just for 1 day so im sure its doing its job..every single time i put the lights back on i see amazing results ...they just look totally different lol like they have been refreshed ...once im happy with the bud development ill give it no water or light for as long as i want good way to shock em aye ...funny enough im doing the same thing today... but i thought i would see what other people had to say about it just for extra info.

i only flushed them before nocking the light off for a day
do you think i should of fed them first?
and what do you mean no light or water? once you like how things are lookin you stop growth by takin away the water and light?

feed em bud nutrients they will want it..

yes....when most of the fibres are brown i shut everything off....all strains are different i guess but theres no harm in giving it a shot....

i love flushing my plants allot when it gets close to the end of the budding cycle they seem to love it and get very big...

so when the light come on in two hours i feed them flower nutes? sorry for questionen ye
also what strain are u on? lol

yes give em flower nutes now... and 12 hours of light only... i also recommend misting them from time 2 time with a spray bottle for the first three weeks...dont mist em after that it will make the buds taste ew...Ive got white widow..red devil and acouple of other favs
