Should I use this clone?

I have taken 18 clones from my current grow, 5 of them will be going into a second tent for veg.

They have been in my clone chamber for almost 2 weeks but this is the only one to show roots so far. However, you can see the leaf damage. I'm not exactly sure whats causing it and if it's worth using this clone, or waiting for others to show roots. It's one of the worst looking cuts in the chamber.

What light do you have that clone under and how close is it to the top of the plant? Could be light burn or it may be nutrient burn. Are you using nutrients yet on this plant?

No nutrients and right now its just under basic house lighting CFLs. My guess is some sort of humidity/rot issue. I've clipped off those areas but I am still skeptical of using this plant.

If it's rooted you can use it and it should be good to go.
If the old yellowy growth is an issue for you then transplant it into whatever dialed in medium you're going to be using and top it. If your new medium is good to go your new growth should be perfect. Just think of the stem in the middle as a trunk from there on out.
I've chopped rooted yellowed out clones down to one node (best potential secondary branch) and got banging growth out of them thereafter. Buried those suckers right up to the node as well. That stem will throw out roots.
I'm a sadist with em though.

I normally only see that in clones that didn't take. Open the Rockwool, if it didn't start rooting yet, I would cut the bottom again and try the Rockwool again.
The plant does not have much reserves left when it looks like that, so you don't have much time to think about it.

Cool. The other issue though is that I'll be using 5 clones and so far this is the only one with roots showing. I'm not sure if I should plant it now or wait for 4 others. I'd prefer to have them all the same size a month from now. I know this can be done via toping etc but it could still end up much bigger in general. It's already one of the bigger clones.

Edit: Just looked again and a second clone is showing roots. This one is much much healthier looking so I think I'm just going to be patient and not use this one I posted. Thanks for the input.
