Hello everyone....I have about 2 weeks left until harvest and alot of the fan leaves are starting to droop, turn yellow, and starting to cover some of the buds...would it be okay just to remove the leaves or should I try to save them and get them healthy again???...or just leave them be and when they die some more then take them off??..As always thanks for the comments

Feel free to clip em off if they look dead, just be gentle and avoid scraping or touching the flowers. Other than that, go ahead, the fan leaves no longer serve any purpose as the plant is no longer growing. Have a happy harvest.

Thankx sarge...Since the fan leaves aren't needed at this stage of the game would it affect the plant if I cut off the fan leaves that arent quite dead but just yellowing...b/c usually once they start turning yellow on me they die within the next couple days anyway

Not at all, trim those yellow leaves away!:p But leave the green ones, you dont want to totally manicure your plant before its harvested.

at this stage in growing theyre supposed to start yellowing because the plant is pulling the last of the nitrogen reserve from the leaves. but do as sarge said and clip them away. because if you leave them there they can harbor mold and parasites

thanx sublime...now that you've brought this to my attention I have a new question(general)....If you clip away all the fan leaves(all but the very most green ones) and then add a nitrogen boost for the last fertilized watering would it be fine???...or would it start dying even faster because of the nitrogen defficiency and having to many leaves clipped away??

Hey SUP, don't worry about the leaves at this stage, worry about your buds instead!.....You should be fine, just keep removing any yellowing-dying leaves as you approach harvest. Your buds don't need any nitrogen at this stage.......watch your buds carefully and you should notice the calyxes swelling and the pistils coming out of them starting to shrivel and darken.
Use a magnifying device to see the gland stalks and heads begin to go from clear to cloudy or amber.....
good luck
