4k lights gorilla glue #4. Adding 8k more lights and another flower and veg room in the next 2 weeksView attachment 4059751
Nice clean setup Bud, your going to divide the room into three. Will you build walls of just drap something like Panda film. If you separate the rooms you could use .75 to 1.0 styro insulation, white on one side reflective on the other. Be simple to build a lite frame for that.
Just curious on your plans, would love to have something that size, so jealous, LOL

Some DE's... a mini split... a Quest 110... some OG... nothing special

Week 7 with SFV OG

Looks quite nice for a first indoor run, especially with sfv og. That looks like the same cut i have( sublbc’s cut), she really is a pain. I have found i get more yield not doing any training, but im also vegging under cmh’s , which ime tends to make the plant naturally grow multiple tops.

Here is my simple perpetual medical garden flower room in a spare bedroom with 2 sun system blockbuster air cooled sealed reflectors with 600w Hortilux Super Hps’ and 1 sun system 315 LEC with a Phillips 3100k bulb.

It is fed from a t-5 fluorescent veg tent with a new plant germinated and harvested every week or two.

It certainly was challenging. I'll be running it again, and yes I was recommended to not train or top them. We shall see! Running them SOG style this time with no topping.

I've only grown the GG#4 and got it from 2 different sources and each time they thru full male flowers near the base. At first it wasn't too bad, just a few seeds in the gg#4 but then I grew one in front of the fan and it took out 1/4 of my 16 plants and she was gone. My patients like her so much I figure I'd give it another try but it still threw a bunch of flowers. I hate when people use accidents for a cup entry and don't test for stress or do the same with a regular strain. I've had lots of problems with at least one seed or more from almost every pack I've grown. The seeds I made back in the day I never had problems with and some of these show absolutely no sign of any mixed sexes. Sometimes my soil is a little hot and may be towards the edge(6ph to 7+ph) out of range and I get lots of hermies compared with the lines I used to breed back in the day. I tried to make fem seeds from HP cannatonic and had a hell of a time getting her to throw good male flowers. I only got 30 seeds and I screwed up the light cycle, let her wilt, spraying colloidal silver the whole time, she just would not want to produce male flowers. That's what a strains should come out like. I had gg#4 hermie with about 6 male flowers each, not bananas. I had a walker kush from seed that was strai 50/50 male/female after showing only female in veg and a plushberry i made from late stage bananas hermie 2 weeks from finish. Tons of bananas up and down the plant and she had baseball bats abound. Last was the Stardust Sherbet. Luckily I was sick and putting on the drippers and saw just before the first male opened. so 4 out of 8 strains run this cycle hermied on me. That's just bad breeding strai up without testing how they stress at all.

I'm thinking I should start making strains to sell instead of just making them for myself.

An

And nice looking room, do you prefer no hoods and just the cool tubes? How does that work for ya? Not being sarcastic I'm really asking!
Here's another pic of the room. As you can see I wasn't consistent with my hood choices. :) I've read cool tubes use a form of glass that let less light thru but I don't have a meter to test. My favorite are teh big hoods, they seem to get everything directed down. The cool tube seems good for a tent with those little wings, easy to handle. I hate the one in the veg room that is just a pain of glass over a hood. The light is too concentrated in one small area. It works for veg though. I'd probably go for the hood that lets the most light thru if I had a meter and was motivated enough to sell the cool tubes and find the big ones and get more of those though. Other than having a cool tube for quarantine in the tents. I do like how light and easy to work with they are.

Thank you very much. It is easier to get around in. Doesn't produce as much as it used to, I used to cram them in but it just makes for more work and lots of smaller bottom buds.

Some pics of the rest of the basement. Don't know if I can describe it right for you to get layout but basically I divided the basement in half lengthwise. There is on entrance into the trim room/office and another entrance at the end of the basement directly into the flowering room in between teh ballasts.

I use the open basement for the 5x5 grow tent and the 8x8 grow tent(basically that's for males to collect pollen, no good outlets in there other than a few florescent bulbs, used to be flowering room) and amendments, repotting and mixing soil, etc.
The office divides the veg from the flowering room. Flowering room is 8x12 and veg is 8x7 I think. There's usually 6 - 600w HPS in flower in winter when I can set up the air intake from outside to control temps and down to 4 or 2 in summer when ac is necessary or off alltogether as I had my first vacation in 20 years with nothing alive to care for at home and I liked it.
100w MH and 400MH and various 100w 4bank florescent all employed at different stages in veg. All the heat from teh lights run thru an inline filter to the exit end from the basement to keep heating costs down in winter.
Time out tent has a 600w HPS in there but I'm thinking of using the switchable MH ballast from teh veg room for single grows being able to use the MH for the first month and then the HPS for the flowering cycle.
RO is led to the grow room thru a full size garden hose to timers inside the door. One timer can be used for flowering and one for veg or it can be rerouted into the time out tent.
It's pretty messy cause I've had recurring sinus infections for the last year and allergy problems so excuse the mess. :)
