@Six9 , It's a Sony Alpha a77 mark 2 (or something like that). I can never remember those silly type numbers. The trich shots are made with the same camera, but then with a macro lens attached.

I often use a stacker program to increase the depth of field with those macro shots. For instance the first macro foto is how a single photo straight from the camera looks. Only a very small band is in focus. This makes it difficult to check trichomes. The next picture is a combination of probably a dozen photo's with slightly moved focus and then combined into one picture showing everything in focus. Makes it much easier to check the trichomes.

:edit: Forgot to add, but these plants were grown under 400W (8xCXB3070 AB bin 3000K) Cree COB lght in a 100x100 grow tent:

I also just finished a Chocolope run. Those tops are a loot beefier. These were taken after 10 weeks of 12/12 and just before harvest:

Nice buds, those pics are stunning, what kind of camera? And a digital microscope for trics? what kind? My $70 5mp tric pics look horrible in comparison!
I use Nikon d5200 with tamron 60mm lens. It's a cheap lens but all I do is a small crop to get trich shots.

And with a simple crop on my phone.

Being lazy so just a crop no adjustments. Way easier than trying to focus my 100x scope

@Greengenes707 thanks and much respect for all you do. My pictures are no where near the level of @wietefras I am a major amateur and in the world of photography, using really low end stuff. But I have always been fascinated with being able to view what can not be seen with the naked eye.
I have heard great things about the Sony. Back when I was into freshwater shrimp one of my favorite photographers ran Sony gear.

Someone needs to step this thread up a notch, the HPS growers are making COB's look bad with Spectrum Kings :P

Dude...all you do is post Remo's garden. Cool. But how is that a comparison to cobs? or anything else for that matter. All it is is Remo's garden. Which is great, and will always be the same in there with his other 22 hps...no matter the singe spectrum king over a plant.

If you'd look closer that garden is done solely on 4 SK400+ with 120 reflector

I've seen it bro. Single SK's over plants. And he goes back to HPS and says LED can't keep up. I've talked to Remo in person a a handful of times.
He doesn't know light very thorough...and that is just fine. he just uses them. He was unsatisfied with the SK440's to his 1000hps...go fuckign figure.

So how is that making cobs look bad exactly is my question. And why do cobs matter. All cobs are is phosphorus conversion whites. Cobs are not a special LED that make light any different or in a special way than any other phosphor LED.

The problem with "led" is that people call everything "led". While they range from the 20% efficient burples up to 50% and up COB fixtures. Obviously it's not all the same, but explaining this is harder than you'd think. Especially since the burple/Spectrum King etc sales pitch is so full of lies.

Love the shots @Norcalknugs and @wietefras. Lighting is on point too.
I'm getting a Sony a6300 this weekend. Still deciding on a lens combo. Getting excited.

Before was using a Nikon d3300 and a basic 55mm.
I started out with Minolta when using film and when Sony took them over I went with Sony so I could keep using my lenses. The lenses cost a lot, but at least those lenses are still good and I only need to replace the body every couple of years.

Some Green Crack. Just turned off the light for the last time on this run.View attachment 3722586
Nice GC @nevergoodenuf . I'm running it as well. The HSO cut. Where'd you get your cut? Also, how long do you let her flower? I've been taking mine at 56 days. It appears to be getting done sooner under the cobs. This will be my second run of it under cobs with a third 3 weeks after this is comes down Monday. Gonna take (have two going) 1 down a few days to a week sooner.
