Hi all, my name is Shwagbag and you're probably here because you like the ass in my avatar. Please stick around and help me dial in my medical garden, lets share some information, growing tips and top secret genetic infoz. I am a legal state medical cardholder. This garden meets my state's medical cannabis requirements 100%. Now that that's out of the way thanks for joining! I thought I'd start a journal to share some of my perpetual strains and experiences. This is my organic perpetual garden. Over time I've transitioned from organic, to synthetic, to a combination of both depending on plant stage. I've come to realize that organic growing is the style I love, and I'm now 100% organic. The last synthetic fertilzier I used was cal mag additive, which I only plan to use in case of emergency from here out.

Substrate
I currently use a Subcool super soil variation, with amendments that I felt would improve the mix i.e. humic and fulvic acids, innoculants, and a few other friendly helpers. I'll be swithching to a variation of LC's soilless mix once this batch starts running low, just enough time to cook it for a month or so.

Organic Additives
I've been using teas in the past, but have had a hard time finding the time to make and clean up after them. I've been increasing their frequency and plan to use AACT once per week throughout the perpetual garden, mostly flowering mixture.

Containers
Clones - rapid rooters in a dome, soon to be jiffy pellets, much cheaper.
Clone to veg - 6" pots or 1 gallon grow bags.
Late veg (occasionally) - 5 gallon buckets chopped to about 3 gallons.
Late Veg / Flower - 8 Gallon Oregon Breather pots with handles. Handles rule.

Lighting
Clones - Single 2' T5.
Early Veg - Four bulb 4' T5 - Usually 6" containers or 1 gallon grow bags at the largest.
Late Veg - Two 150 watt GLH LED's.
Flower Tent #1 - Two 600w HPS in a 4 x 4.
Flower Tent #2 - 1000w HPS in a 4 x 4.
Ducting is currently being upgraded to 450 CFM with carbon filters using 6" ducting. Summer requires AC and perhaps the 1000 running at either 600 or 750.

Genetics
I run between 8-20 strains depending on time of year, I like variety. Some come and go, some stick around indefinitely, but its always nice to have a situational smoke to share with my friends and strangers alike. Running perpetual has major advantages for transplanting, cloning and trimming, but it does not often allow me to start a number of the same seeds. As such, I don't always get the best phenotypes, but if I don't like it I'll try again later :) I found 12 or more was too many for my garden size, so I've been forced to get rid of some strains and kind of go with the flow, replacing some strains for newer favorites. I don't use mother plants, just cuttings off from plants before flower. 2 -4 cuts from each plant usually depending how many are currently potted.

Current Strains
AK47 Cutting - Someone did the work on this one, its a winner.
Super Lemon Haze Cutting - Its the only one I've ever done, and I really like it.
El Monstre - Sannies Seeds freebie and one of my favorites.
Jackberry F2 - Sannies Seeds green pheno.
Jackberry F2 - Sannies Seeds purple pheno.
Sugar Punch - Sannies Seeds sativa.
Skunky Monkey - Seedfairy California hybrid.
Querkle - TGA Subcool Seeds.
Kevorkian - Collective Cutting about to be retired. Good smoke but horrible yield and node spacing.
Killing Fields - Sannies Seeds purple pheno.
Lemon Head - Bag seed self titled. Smells like dank ass lemons lol. Even more than SLH.

Retired Keepers
I've lost some strains due to mislabeled cuttings :( Some of my old favorites include Pure Power Plant, Northern Lights, Deep Purple Haze.

Recently Germed

Queen of Hearts - Seedfairy Subcool Hybrid Ace of Spades x Vortex
Kollossus - Sannies Seeds, big yielder.
Bagseed - Either Cotton Candy Kush or Orange something. More info later.

Canopy Management
I'm really into canopy management and lollipopping to increase yields of quality fruit and decrease trimming times. I've do some topping, recently a couple attempts of Nugbuckets mainlining technique. I've settled on a combination of mainlining and simply influencing primary branch development during the veg process. I've been suprcropping for a quite awhile, but I haven't started extensively lollipopping and influencing branching until 2012.

That's it for now, I'll start by sharing a few older pics and then get rolling with some current perpetual stuff in the coming weeks. Thanks for clicking through!

Whats up geturgrowon? Yeah I'm running a KF purple pheno in flower right now, but her cuts are struggling to say the least. If they don't make it I'll be forced to reveg her as I don't have enough seeds to hunt for that purple pheno. I'll be including her my updates for you as soon as I can. I don't even keep track of when I put my plants in, I just put them in and pick'em with they're ripe lol. I think she's around 2.5 weeks though, stacking up nicely. I feel like this is a very good pheno, but she's yellowing a bit. A friend popped the seed and finished her reeeeeal nice, wish I had a pic to share of that right now but Its down to dust lol. Very heady smoke and his yielded much better than my first run. If you run it don't be afraid to give her a nice veg. She'll reward you unlike many sativas. I made the mistake of a short veg because I had just gotten done running a Super Silver Haze that if I hadn't wrapped it around a bucket would have been at least 8' tall lol. Out of control 2-3" per day shit in the stretch. I was skerrrt!

I'm currently ironing out my environmentals with the added wattage to the room. I basically added 1000 watts of flower power and my flowering plants are not the happiest. Heat was high until I ducted fresh air in from outside a cpl days ago, and the humidity was low. I cut the Co2 off a cpl weeks ago. I think some of the issues are also coming from the density of my soil mix as well.

I've decided I'm definitely going with LC's mix my next go. I've been using more pro-mix for vegging plants and I must say the roots are loving it. I upcanned 2 Super Lemon Hazes from 3 gallon to 8 gallon to make their flower beds. The roots were some of the healthiest ones I've seen in awhile. The super soil is super dense from the roots and castings. I think my plants are liking the airier pro-mix. I'm liking it for my base in the next soil mix. I'm thinking a bale of Pro Mix BX a bag or two of roots organics, 30-40 lbs of castings and some ecoscraps with the added organic ammendments. I can smell it now, love me the smell of some good potting mix! :weed:

I'll definitely get some pics of the roots when I upcan my 2 AK47's, probably in the next few days. I gave the late veg box a heavy super cropping today, transplanted the SLH's and threw a Querkle in flower for her first run in super soil. Lots of lollippping on all of them to thin them out and promote the growth to the top. I cut the super soil with some pro mix to see how these react. I expect they'll be ok with the weekly-ish flowering tea I've been feeding them.

Just got done working and back at her at 7:00 this morning, G'night peeps! I promise I'll make it more interesting with some pics very soon.

Thanks gerurgrowon, I appreciate the suggestion. She's in super soil and she's getting tea with N supplements. I really think she's suffering from a combination of heat stress and soil compaction.

To answer your question about the purple pheno KF, no temp adjustments are necessary. You'll know as soon as she starts budding what pheno you have :D

First purple KF run below... The current run should crush the yield of the first, and I think the pheno is darker purple.

She's not taking water up like she should, i think shes having trouble breathing. I took some pics of her tonight I'll get them up tomorrow. Sannies took about 21 days if recall, but they changed their shipping to confirmation with tracking so it might be faster now.

Vegging plants are doing great. Some need transplanting and some were just yesterday. All of them were supercropped pretty hard. I do like these LED's, but I'm really considering going back to my 8 bulb T5 setup. The node spacing was tighter, but it was a lot more work making sure everything was within a few inches of the lights. The LED's don't pack nodes as tight but they def run cooler and I can run them at the pictured heights without any crazy stretching.

Left end is AK47, middle back is Querkle, Right side is Super Lemon Haze, front middle left is lemonhead, middle right Skunky Monkey.

Querkle Bush. She's overvegged lol. She's in Pro-Mix, no nutes used. I did some minor cleanup on her last night, She'll get a heavy pruning and lose some branching for clones in a day or two, then stretch out for a week or so before flower.

Killing Fields with some issues

I think I'll do what geturgrowon suggested and grap some N guano from the store tomorrow. Can't hurt to throw some at her and see how she does. That's it for now peeps, I'll share some AK k0ng3rz when they come down in the next few days. Its the easiest effin trim of all of my strains.

Hey shwag may I suggest doing a tea? Or do you already make a tea or how do you use your guano?
Thanks gigz. I'm using teas yep. Going to grab some n guano tomorrow and slap it in a batch, hopefully ready on Thursday.

I use guano in my soil mix, and I put guano in a paint strainer with other dry ingredients for my teas. Only P guano usually though.

I have 3 different guanos :D

I'm so ready for this summer though as I've been working a compost pile so it's about to be true organics :D
