Sick plants, what's wrong?

Hello!

We are using an older Aerogarden Pro100. The first two crops were fine, but this third one is unhappy. Of the seven seed pods purchased back in November as a "herb kit", only one (Thai basil) is fine, five are struggling, and one did not even germinate.

Have we gotten a bad seed collection, or is something wrong with our device? Aerogarden/Amazon are willing to exchange the seed-kit, but I'm wondering, if I need a new rig instead...

When I make the device go through its own self-tests, there is nothing obviously wrong... Any ideas? Thank you!

Seeds are cheap. Id run some new ones to see if it was the seed. You maychave gotten sloppy with the germination. Were the germination temps the same? Temp plays a huge part in successfull germination. And proper moisture levels.

Well, we followed the usual steps -- fill up with water up to the marker, place plastic-covered pods into holes, drop plant-food into the water and wait...

Yes, seeds are cheap and even cheaper if we can exchange them for new ones without paying extra, but it is work nonetheless, so I wanted to know, if something may be wrong with device. For example, does it have a pump to circulate water? How do I tell, if the pump is functional?
