yo o'rly, i am currently growing right now with flourescents, including 2 cfls..i have a closet that is about 4'X2.5'deepX8' tall and i use 2 50watt Cfls (you wanna use at least 25 watt ones) and one flourescent 3' strip fixture hanging above that cantains 2 3' tubes that promote plant growth...and yes you can go through the complete cycle with these. obviously the more the better and if you can get some on the sides they will do well too...grwoing under Cfls or tubes makes your plants perfect canidates for Low Stress Training as well...good luck! what are a growin?

Week 3 of flower. 12 CFLs over 4 plants. 3 blue 9 red. ~388w 26k (ish) lumen :)

Moving to 400w MH when and IF I ever get my bloom bulb...

Just clipped over 2 oz of dry bud from a small 2 plant cfl grow. Started with 1 - 23 watt cfl and ended with around 24 cfls ranging from 23 watts to 42 watts each.

Ok, not flowered using CFLs yet but plan to.

First grow - using 3 x 25W CFLs on seedlings, switching this week to 5 x CFLs. Planning to flower under 125W envirolite (or maybe 200W envirolite if I can afford the price tag) plus a mixture of (probably) 5 or 6 other smaller CFLs.

I'm on my first grow. I used 1 flouro tube and 1 42 watt CFL to veg, topped at the fourth node. Then I added 4 more 24 watt CFL's. I'm in my 7th week of flowering right now with 5 CFL's, and everything is beautiful (this is bagseed too. mind you only 1 plant). I'm guestimating an ounce yield, maybe a little over... but this is only a 1.5 foot tall plant and the bud sites are still appearing everywhere. I am quite pleased with CFL growing, and feel that this plant still has a lot more bud to produce, especially at the bottom -- the colas are almost done.

I've completed two grows, one from seed and one from clone using 1 x 200w blue Envirolite 6400k and 2 x 200w red Envirolites 2,700k. Moving up to a 250w HPS for my next grow though.

Pic of one of the lower down smaller buds..

If you're going to veg or flower with CFLs, check these out:

self ballasted - up to 300W
(that's actual CFL power- not
incandescent replacement watts
value - a 300W CFL would replace
a 1500W incandescent)

Serious CFLs with outboard
ballasts reduce replacement costs.

These guys at nlites are not screwing around.
