I just got "Finished" building my ClosetMaid 'C13' style grow cab. It's 6' tall, 30" wide, 24" deep. Generally I'm pleased with it, but it's still too noisy. In particular the fan: an S&P TD-125 Mixvent fan (Soler & Palau Commercial Centrifugal, Axial, Propeller, Exhaust and Supply Fans - Soler and Palau - HVACQuick.com). I tried using a vortex in the past, but this one is so much quieter. The fan itself runs super silent, but the rushing air I can't get rid of. For stealth reasons everything needs to be inside the cab.
I already use FatMat sound reducing material, insulated ducting, and a carbon filter. I tried using a speedster fan controller, but it doesn't work on this type of fan. I ran out of space, so I can't use a duct muffler, but I need to figure something out, because it is still way too loud. Anyone have any suggestions?
