Just picked up 1 Kg of color indicating silica gel off ebay for 36$ shipped. The seller i purchased it from was selling it for usage in the preservation of iron meteorite from oxidization. I have heard of it cutting drying times into a matter of 2-3 days.

Long story short, has anyone had any experience using silica gel effectively in the drying / curing process ? any input would be really appreciated

It would seem to me that that would speed up the drying process to fast and your buds would taste like chloraphyl, the process of slow drying is to eliminate as much of that taste before curing,, I personally would not sugest it.

I'd certainly agree with Dee.. with the caveat that it could be useful in 'small' bit's for really humid times of the year, especially if you have to dry in a small enclosed space.
