Silica Sources

I have been experimenting recently with Malted Barley and seeing some nice results in the early stages of flower. I have been following Coots recommendation by watering in with Fulvic Acid and Aloe. A source of silica is also recommended so I have been top dressing after the MBP with a tsp of a fine rock dust that contains Woolastonite and Carbonatite, both excellent sources of silica. Will this approach supply any meaningful sources of silica or should I consider another approach? Thanks for any info you can share.

Shavegrass also known as horsetail can be brewed into a tea and applied as a foliar. It is high in silica and great as a PM preventative also.

You can also add rice hulls to your soil mix. As they break down they release nice amounts of silica.
