Silly question but how much yield roughly?

Hi! I know they haven't got buds on yet but how much do you think I could pull off these. I know there is lots of variables and I've still got to make it through flowering without any hitch but a ballpark figure from someone with experience would be cool. They are just coming up to two weeks of 12/12 under a 400w dual spectrum hps. I put an energy drink can in their to give you a scale.

Thanks

They look nice and healthy, but kinda stretchy, but if you could get some CFL's down low around them, it would help.Looks like you should be very happy when you harvest though.
BTW, it's a lot easier for us to view multiple pics if you click the 'insert inline' box when you post.

Standard for a newbie (assuming you make it to harvest) would be about 1.5Oz each for those small ones, but if they do well then you could get 2 or 3Oz per plant. The tiny one on the left looks more like 1Oz.

Edit: should say, I'm guessing of course...lots of variables like strain etc, but you wanted a rough estimate yeah?

If I were you I would cut quite alot of bottom growth off and make sure that you don't have more than 2ft of plant material from the top down.

This way you make the most of the 2ft penetration from the 400w.

Then if you keep them healthy and green there is no reason why you cannot pull 3oz from each of these plants.

Try to keep the plants within a 3ftX3ft footprint.

Good job so far!!!!

cut the bottom branches off...they only produce fluff and by removing them it will help ur yield. i personally remove the bottom 1/3 of the plant about a week and a half into flower.

Hey guys. Thanks for all the responses! The strain is ladyburn 1974 from gh seeds. Weird name ay haha. I think the stretch you're seeing is some of the lower branching. I took some fan leaves of as an experiment on two of the plants and it made the lower stuff catch up and come to just below the main growing tip. Krondizzel my guess was the same as your's. I would be happy with that for a first go. They got quite stressed at the beginning so 1oz per plant wouldn't be bad. Definitely got ALOT to learn though. With experience I should be pulling more off on that setup!

As earlier mentioned trimming some off the bottom would help alot. I'd guess 1.5-2 zips per plant if all goes well. Feed some N for the first few weeks of flower to help reduce the stretch. Looking good though!

Thanks man. I'm not sure if to try it or not. Although they look nice and healthy they aren't the most vigorous plants going. Would it cause them further stress to start doing that or wont it be a problem? I have had them on grow nutrients for N for the first two weeks of flower btw:)

Trimming the bottom will help at the end. The top buds will be bigger if you chop some off the bottom. If you are going to i'd get right on it before getting to far into flower.

another suggestion would be to tuck the fan leaves behind or under lower nodes. all ya need is to expose the tops to the light and if ya can do that without cutting and leaves off u will be in better shape. more leaves = more growth. i myself, dont remove much greenery till the last cpl weeks of flower during the rippining stages..gl

yeh man ive been doing some tucking. one of them has about four tops poking through the cannopy. they're only small but its better than them being shaded.
