oh okay cool had only heard or read about that one other time and I believe it was Regga's other grow. Just seems like ,and forgive me in advanced ,but not just a different name for growing normal( no training) for a fast vegetive setup where you would grow many small plants right ? Or am I off base ?

well growing single cola takes training the first 2 weeks of 12/12 cause your cutting all branches that grow away from main stock.. and to answer your first ? as to the significants for growing one monster top as opposed to lots of smaller buds.. the bud looks ,tastes, has a higher thc content and is way less trimming.. but the reason i do it is hight restrictions!!

I don't think anyone has answered your question. If your strain wants to branch a bit I would trim the bottom few stems or even the bottom third after the first and third week of flowering or whatever feels right to you. If you trim the branches too soon it will just make the branches above want to grow longer, the object being to keep the buds as close to the stalk as possible. If you have a strain that doesnt branch out your golden. The yield with a sog like this varies from 1/4 to 3/4 of an oz. Obviously some strains work better for this than others. I have a nice indica pheno that I sog single cola style....I'll throw a pic up. These pictures were taken at day 29

highlander, yea man thats what im looking for. i have a pure indica strain that grows super slow and stops growing @ 2 weeks of 12/12.. so my trim method was going to be once that i did on day one and once a week twice..

I'm tryng something a little dif with this grow...keeping the hps quite abit further away from the girls for about half the time that they are doing their stretch dance the (first two or three weeks) to add height/nodes. Latest batch went in 11 days ago. Doing several dif training methods with a few strains now.

Bad ass set up you got. Lookin' forward to this one. Nice DIY Panel you made. Clean, and organized. Those mothers have some thick stocks to them. Buds should suck plenty of juice to be amazing.

Damm, HL you are everywhere lol but very good advice trimming should be done towards the end of 12/12 stretching i think..good looking plants to bro.Peace

Highlander.. one of the improvements i made was buying dimmable ballasts so i can turn it to 6oo for the first week 750 the next and a thousand from ther on out. i also think it will help.. but! we will C right here what they do.. also what you think folks should i dimm like flush week also??

Daniel.. OH! those "queens" you meen? carefull there sesitive.. HAHA! see what i have to deal with on a daily basis.. thats why i decided to flower the nagging hags.. acctually i love them deeply.. they been real good to me, but they are 20 months old now almost to the day so i figured i would have her smoke cured and ready for her 2 year fiesta...

Please apologize to them for me. My two Royal Kush Queens stuffed in my fridge that I'm smoking on are pissed too. The last Main Cola of Nikki is being smoked. That's way too many Queens pissed at me. My humble apology's.:roll: If 1 year is 7 to a dog, how many years would a 23 month old Queen be?:eyesmoke:

wow man i would say about 2000 plus offspring that they sent off into the world. and i have 49 clones but im prob gonna get the same yeild as some do with only a few plants.. im hoping for a pound would be more like 1.5lb per light with the right strain.. and i think i may have her right now in my young momma room..her is a pic of her canopy and a few more of them 49.. they are looking good so far and they have grown 1 1/2' already since transfer

Also gibbs, here is a shot of my bucket system that you wanted too see.. the micro jets come on every hr for several min but am gonna try setting the timer for like 1 min every 15min, what do you pro's think?

Your clones will love your dimmable ballast, but I don't think that I would turn them down during flush, they pack on a lot of their weight in those two weeks.

Hey reggae maybe I'll run a 50 clone sog along side yours, we can compare notes. The cuttings will be ready in a week or two but it might be a few weeks before enough room opens up.

How long do you flower that strain for?

that would be fun highlander you totally should do it.. this strain is right around 8weeks, but i have let it go as long as 9 when i have optimal conditions.. and what strain do you have rooting?
