Skinny Leaves!

Hey ! i have a 2 plant set up under a 90 watt ufo LED light. i have one afgan kush plant and one hindue kush. the box there in is only about 3 feet tall and a foot and a half wide. they have been flowering for about 4 weeks now, the hindue plant is doing amazing with about 6 heads budding away with nice big leaves but the afgan plant seems to be more spindley with small bud areas and the new growing leaves are very skinny but still look healthy. the plants have had every thing the same sence the start. not sure if it could be watering or temp or just different strain
cheers!:bigjoint:

heh i also grow hindus and afghans 4 weeks in right now :)

check out my journal with updated pics and see if it looks similar

the hindus i like better because with no form of topping or LST they just grow side shoots all the way up that are naturally competing with the main stem, hence I get 6 colas like you said with no interference. the afghans didn't do that but are still cool. actually I have only one afghan left I think, but it's pretty cool. nevertheless, your problem (?) sounds like phenotype to me. some seeds are just weaker than others.

here is a couple pics tell me what you think. PICT0004.jpgPICT0005.jpgPICT0009.jpgPICT0014.jpg the 1st and 3rd is the hindue and the 2nd and 4th is the afgan. as you can see the buds are alot smaller and the plant its self isent as full . could this just be the seed?

hey i just went and checked thoroughly (I scrog so my branches are all over the place and it's hard to tell which is which). My single afghan is also doing the worst in my garden! only three of its branches actually reach the light, and even they are very small flowers like your afghan, compared to the hindus which are also doing pretty much the same nice flowers. I still can't say for sure that it's the seed (mine is sensi I think but not sure actually). Could be the soil too, it tends to be more compact than the other one in soil (that's mixed with some hydroton) and of course the ones in coco. But I'm guessing it is the genetics indeed.

we should keep up with each other, we are doing a very similar grow :)
