4 foot top to bottom is pretty limiting, isn't it ? That does look like a good strain for what you are trying to do. I hate to say it but the white dwarf does look better, did they try to make it right or did you just say the heck with it ?

I emailed them yesterday, havent heard anything back yet. If they do make it right, I'll recommend the Attitude to everyone. If they dont... I'd still probably order from them again. Im not too upset about it.

4 foot is pretty limiting, but I'm considering using a closet with about 6 foot of space vertically. If I do that, I might grab a 400, but that will be next grow. I should be able to get 6 plants to fit in my current location, and if I top them, the vertical limitation shouldnt be too bad.

I'm growing with a space that's not even 4' tall in my closet with 2x 250w MH and I've also got some Sativas going. No problems, just top and or flower when still short.

I have a somewhat perpetual grow going, and after you've grown out just a couple clones you'll know exactly the size to start flowering and then still end up just barely fitting in your space.

Uh, no... I wouldn't have done that. Couldn't you have added exhaust with a duct fan, maybe cooltube that thing? I used to have a couple 1000's and once you're used to growing with that it's hard to go with less.

Oh well, you already bought em. How much do you actually want to grow, just enough smoke for you and a friend or slinging bud to make money?

Two of these is enough to keep a couple people supplied indefinately with a litle perpetual grow, and would throw maybe 1/3 the heat you're dealing with now but the yield and size of plants they could support would not compare ****AT ALL ***to 1000. If you run a bunch of these you'll end up back with the same heat problem you had with the 1000.

Depends on the size of the grow space and temperature of the surrounding room(s) and the area you live in. In the summer I run an exhaust fan and sometimes a window a/c unit to combat the heat my 500w of hid's put off or my room would be 85f or more all the time.

But now the weather is already cool enough that I don't even exhaust the heat, just turn down the thermostat on the house and use the grow to SAVE electricity that would have just been used on heat anyway.

so these 20$ hps will work fine without anything but a fan and yes its cold where i live now...
Yep, if it's cold now where you are you'll be fine with just a fan. If you want to keep using them in the summer when it gets hot out you may have to do a bit more.
You may also quickly discover that you have to vent the smell regardless of the heat, but you can still recirculate the heat to the house if you use something like a carbon filter and duct fan or whatever. Even a small grow can STINK...

You're going from 3800 lumens to ~30,000 lumens, that's a big jump. You'll notice a huge difference if you use them right.

This is pretty awesome...thanks for the link. I was using CFL's for my first grow and what a pain it was. I could never get enough light. Now I have a 600W HPS/MH, though when I do a bigger grow some day a couple of these guys will be great complements.

Hey, QUICK! Can anyone that has one of these econo-150's give me the bulb dimensions? I've already invested in a bake-a-round (3.75" diameter), and I wonder if this fatass might not allow airflow... if it'll fit, I'm entertaining the idea of jamming 2 of these in the bake-a-round (14" long x 3.75" diameter)

Good karma and REPs headed your way!

Has anyone used one of these yet? How do they compare (performance wise) to a traditional 150w hps?

They are a normal 150 watt HPS, what do you guys think they are a pretend model ? Stick any 150 watt HPS bulb in you want, get whatever performance you want by the bulb you select. I don't know what else I can tell you.

The original post says you have to click the link twice, it's still that way.

SeniorSanteria if you meant how do they compare to an "agricultural actual grow light" they're identical other than no reflector, you'll have to build one yourself.

I would give you dimensions Undertow if I actually had one of these, but i don't. I only posted cause it was a good deal...
I'm sure two will fit in a bake a round though, because I use 250's and I could fit two of those in one.

The thing about fancy bulbs is they'll cost more than this whole fixture and ballast and bulb combined but only put out 1k more lumens or so. If the point is the most bang for the buck you'd be better off getting a larger e-conoligt or more of them than just constantly buying a spendy bulb.

I've seen prices as low as $5.40 ea for standard bulbs, probably best to buy a few at a time so you're not paying more on shipping than on each bulb.

Well I'm considering using two of these on a four foot light mover. Im looking at either buying one (found one for $110), or building one, if i can figure out how they work.
