So I am going to order another pack of skunk#1 seeds. What breeder should I go with this time and I only want regular seeds? I already have dutch passion.

I just scored a sweet deal over at Mr Nice Auction site on a winter cleaning auction of SHIT, which is skunk#1 x Skunk#1(affy pheno) $38 for like 50to60 seeds, sold in 1 gram lots… I think they have another SHIT auction currently going on… I used Western Unions Bank Transfer option which only cost $5 to pay, I've gotten several auctions from them, very legit… and all auctions totaling $50 qualifies for free shipping, I also got a z6 x afghan haze regs winter cleaning pack for $32, so for $70 plus the WU fee of $5 got a ton of skunk to pheno hunt one of these days.. def would give SHIT a look

Get Sweet Skunk from PeakseedsBC. Easily the best skunk I've ever smoked. Pretty sure it has some island sweet skunk in the mix which makes it not quite pure, but it's very skunk like in growth and high and smoke.. just not a skunk nose. None of the skunk #1's have a skunk nose though.

So i popped both the dutch passion and the seedsman skunk #1 , right from the start i can tell that seedaman is better quality. The dutch passion is really small leaf sets and there doing some weird leaf twisting thing right off the start.
The seedaman are going strong fast and looking really good.
This is really making me question dutch passion.

The best pheno of skunk 1 i ever grew (which is still in my top 5 best smokes) was from dutch passion and it was mutated. it just stopped and threw 5 tops. had seasoned smokers sweating.

Interesting. How long ago did you pick those seeds up? Is it a known pheno or do you think it was a 1/1,000,000 ? How were the rest of the plants? One thing I will say is that skunk 1 has been around for so long and is so easy to reproduce that most sources for it should be ok at least. At least I'd hope. Did you keep it around for a while, were you able to get clones or was it a horrid mutant that you figured wouldn't be worth keeping because it just stopped growing?

Here's the seedsman skunk #1 that i have going. I trashed all the dutch passion.
There is some differences in between the 6 i have going some bushy and some growing tall.View attachment 3415778
Interesting, I'll be watching. Why'd you trash the DP? I still think you should pick up Sweet Skunk from PeakseedsBC... it is truly wonderful. I have some growing now and the nose is heavenly sweet and subtle. And I already know what the high is like - it can be pretty intense and make you sweat like GUN1 mentioned.

Except all the plants I've seen can do this from this line. Even if your tolerance is up it's pretty strong, about as strong as anything in its own way that I've grown, maybe one notch below my best Sugar Punch specimen. I'm hoping to find something really special though in this current seed run. I'll be watching this thread if it keeps popping up so I hope you keep it updated.

Skunk is an under appreciated classic these days IMO. The winners are about as special as anything.

I trashed the dutch passion skunk 1 cause i have popped over 12 strains and each is a ten pack only lookong for strong fast growing ones. I would've kept them under different circumstances.

It was in the late 90s so quite a while ago now. I think it may have just been a random mutation thrown. It was very slow growing. I put it outside as it was so far behind the rest. I wish I had have cloned it because I have friends that still talk about it to this day

Have you got a journal for this grow? Would like to watch as I've got some on order from seedsman. Should be here any day now.

i second the seedsman version. idk if it was the pheno i had or what but it was the the strongest most foul smelling plant ive grown in my 6-7 yrs of growing. wife refused to go near it.

dead skunk on a pile of rotting fruit just as described by seedsman.

Here is the keeper out of that 10 pack from seedsman.
There was different variations. Some were tall and stretched and some were smaller bushy close nodes. Most grew what i like to think looked like a pencil with flowers on the top. (Haha) All of them had the same slender long pointy leaves. Skunk #1 is a beautiful plant. there was only two others that were what i look for. Then out of those two i kept the best and most bushy one.
I let all of them grow without topping until i choose the two then topped. The one i chosen to keep is fucking awesome super close nodes. So here are some pics of her. I plan on keeping this one around.1433701590074.jpg1433701590074.jpg 1433701645672.jpg
