slow ass flowering

ok so my plants have been flowering for god knows how long now but they seem like they are just stunted to the max.

im pretty sure they werent ready to flower but i forced 12/12 on them

so now, all of them have buds on them but they are just growing at an incredibly slow rate

the timer is set at 12/12 (obviously) and the temps are good inside the grow box. im not sure about humidity tho

i got 8 26w cfls - 3 vegging, 5 flowering (i cant remember the spectrum numbers i think its 3 6500k's and 5 2700k's.. im baked)

since my grow was taken over by a well trusted friend (problems growing in my own place) i havent been giving it any flowering nutes (my friend is also 4 hrs away so he is taking care of them 100%) and my friend doesnt know enough about growing to trust him with that so its just watering the soil over n over.

i know most (if not all) of my plants have a strong sativa background so i know thats partially why there taking a while but im getting concerned now.

so can any1 based on this info please help me understand and maybe help fix the stunting of these plants

thats highly doubtful, no one lives in the house that there growing in so lights are rarely on except on when my friend is taking care of them, i build the grow box also to prevent any light leaks also and its covered up also except for the ventilation holes

it could be many things but in my experience, light leaks , incorrect temps stiump plants to a snails pace, could it be genetics ? is it sativa dominant strain? iv had those take 15 weeks+

well if theyre sativa you may have to use a lesser light cycle,
sativas are equitorial plants so instead of 12/12 you should try 11/13.
i use 11/13 anyway for flowering and now im on my last 3 weeks so iv switched to 10.5/13.5

you may want to try that

i truely dont believe light leak is a problem.
Thinking about temp tho.. it may be getting a bit cold at night especially cuz the a/c is always off in the house, but it doesnt get too cold in there.
i have 3 strains going. i know 5 of my plants are sativa dominant and the last plant has more indica traits to it. They all are varying ages but i put all 6 into flowering (maybe too early) at the same time.

just as i start getting really concerned i get a call this morning from my friend saying there was a huge bud growthspurt and alot more pistils formed. now im starting to get excited since i know the plants start packing on the bud weight the last 2-3 weeks so im assuming im closing in on the final stages of this grow.

also, at what point of the growth should the pistils start significantly changing from white to orange? Obviously some already have but its not a significant amount
