Slow flowering time?

image.jpgimage.jpgHere I have pics of Juicy Fruit in week 8. Senses weds said this strain had an approx 7-9 week flowering time. Is it possible that this sativa/indica hybrid is showing sativa-dominant traits like longer flowering time?

Those don't look ready really, you're right. How long have those leaves been curled like that? Some genetics do this towards end of flower but I am concerned about you have a nutrient lookout slowing down the plants bud development. I am no pro but just my opinion.

Yeah bro that's 7-9 weeks with adequate HID lighting, when you flower with cfls the buds wont harden or finish, just stay a bunch of hairs. Give them another 3-4 weeks and see what happens.

What kind of lighting? What are your temps? Those leaves should not be curled that bad during the whole flowering period. Something serious going on is slowing down the flowering process. Maybe a more experienced grower can comment as I cannot say 100% what it is.

Not enough light, the outdoor sativa domination is coming out, you can see the darn thing running and stretching.... So, it therefore is not using all of It's nutes efficiently or properly.

Your running to much N To much N in flowering causes slow growth and stretching, also the clawing Sadly I have one looking like yours, she is being feed from the same res as 3 others that aren't showing a N toxicity. At week 8 you should be dropping the N any way You want to be running something like 0-5-4 if anything at all Like stated above your 3-4 week out at this pt

He is only feeding half strength, the leaves been curled the entire flowering...

There is simply not enough light to take advantage of the nitrogen, therefore it seems that there is an over feed of nitrogen.

No disrespect buds but I have to disagree. Here is a Trainwreck I'm growing now. 4 weeks into flower. As for penetration, not sure where the general consensus got it wrong because I'm getting solid bud growth as far down below the canopy as 8 inches; plants are less then 14" tall at about 1-1.5 square feet around. 23 cfls, 6800 lumens a square foot in a 3x3x2 space. There are these threads as well that have some pretty good info regarding cfls.

Op, your plant just looks a little nute burned. As for the curled leaves what are your temps at? Claw (nitrogen) toxicity is very distinct. Good luck. :bigjoint: :peace:

Sorry, I call bullshit..... Your buds are not hardened, they are hairy and I don't see "buds" 8 inches down the plant... I only see immature tops....

Does anyone else else see the imaginary buds?
Listen, no ill regard here, but you understand that you just expressed a level of inexperience right? Or simply malice. :bigjoint: I'm not going to parley however at 4 weeks, this Tw is just starting to get her swell on. Yes, nugs 8 inches below the canopy and a roger that they are quite firm and sticky. Thanks. :peace: If you'd like here is a grow video from greenhouse seeds you can watch that will show you right where a Tw should be at four weeks of course these plant weren't trained for a shorter profile. Scroll down to the grow sessions video. Or you could just check the links I already posted. :peace:

OP. I've been thinking about your prob, it looks like heat issues as is evident by your leaves as well as the fact that high heat can delay maturity, cause elongated growth between nodes etc etc. The leaves stomata are located on the bottom of the leaves.
During periods of under watering or high heat the leaves curl under to limit transpiration. :peace:

Im using 1000w HPS 12/12. Currently in week 8 of flowering and week 12 of FF feeding chart. Temps range between 18 C(night) to 30 C(day). I've been feeding them half strength and currently showing signs of deficiencies. Yellow spots on leaves, smaller leaves are drying up and falling off. Im gonna go a few more weeks and c what happens. The branches arent stretching, they're leaning.

30C can cause problems particularly if humidity is really low as well (below 25%). It's not much over the general 85 degree cap for most strains but it can be enough to delay flowering time. Do you have a pic of what you use to test your temperatures and humidity? You might also notice new growth on the lower branches forming with a longer branch or filament, making it look almost like an early male flower. Again, this can be subtle and is respective to the ambient environment. The pics provided really didn't offer adequate perspective. If you're concerned with the leaves you should take a picture of the leaves rather then a general profile of the plant. Plants leaves don't usually curl under like that from a deficiency - Toxicity absolutely. A full on nute lockout though can cause problems like that - if salt is in excess leading to less water retention by the plant in the rhizosphere ergo the whole plant. This might explain the blotches on your other leaves but it's hard to be sure. Did you flush before starting your flowering nutes? What is your grow medium? Watering schedule? I understand that you say that you are following a strict feeding regime but you should understand, that this is a forum and anyone can lie about anything so the more details and pics the better. Also, can we have your mailng address. Full name? Social Security #? Lol j/k about those last three. Or am I? :peace:

Unbelievable. All these posts and no one has a clue WTF they are talking about here. Yes, your plant is showing extreme Sativa side genetics, so yes it will take longer to finish. breeder times are usually just a general guideline if everything is perfect. A lot of time they are just a bunch of BS too just to sell their product.

That may be but that does not explain the issues he is having elsewhere on the plant. Regardless of strain dominance, heat can still delay maturity. OP says temps get at most 30C but even at 32c he has gone up to 90 degrees F. I can agree that no one knows what they are talking about as the poster did not provide adequate information so we've been forced to speculate. Even your own diagnosis is based on these very same photos and information. Hence the further inquiry. :bigjoint: :peace:
