Hi everyone i am in week 2 of sprout on 3 plants. The largest is Chemdawg and the other two are Pineapple Express and Chocolope. I have been watching the plants trying to keep them happy. No fert like everyone says and im having major issues. I have never grown in soil but have in hydro and i am much more successful, I'm trying for mother plants right now. Here are some picture I have decided it is a nitrogen Deficiency. And also i checked my runoff ph and it was 7.5? That seems way to high! Thanks for all the help!

Oh and i have them under a tek 2 florescent fixture and an led

When you're using soil, you have to really let it dry out between watering.
Avoid soil that retains moisture.
This creates a perfect environment for fungus gnats and other nasties.
I recently had a bout with them, and the larvae love tender young roots.
Similar description, slow growth and yellowing fan leaves, although I'm using hydro, I believe they can be an even worse problem in soil.

I have been letting it dry out completely. to the point the leaves look like it needs water. Do you agree it is a nitrogen deficiency?

I don't really see any big problem, some of the sprouts look a little yellowish maybe, but the others look OK.
In new soil you're unlikely to have nute deficiencies, little sprouts that size are just starting to get goodies from the soil anyway.
I wouldn't be hitting them with any supplements this soon.

You shouldn't let it dry to the point of drooping leaves that's not good. The taproot can easily dry out and cause a slow starting seedling.

I have a similar problem, this is my first go at this and have really been getting excited and wrapped up in the process, best hobby I've never had lol, started with 6 and now left with 3 but keen to see it through, got a brown spot on one and a tinge of yellow in another although it only noticeable up close, one is a bit sticky and have re-buried etc and still keeps messing me about. Have thought I've been over watering so planning to leave alone for a day or 2 any input would be great.

What kind of soil? it may be too rich, or the pH not balanced.
Yes- your pH is WAY off and is most likely the issue... what is the pH of the water you use??
What are your temps? if too cold, they turn colors too..

7.5 is not a tiny bit high hun.. and you can't start MJ seeds in compost-- too rich for them. You need the pH between 6.5-7.0 never higher...
You are better off in plain old seed started (no nutes in it) or peat pellets.... Replant (carefully!) into different soil if you can... even Miracle-grow Organic mixed with pearlite if it's all you can get-- at least it's pH is neutral.... My choice would be light warrior or a mix of seed starter and worm castings... JMO

Its just basic potting soil. I am very against MG so i got some organic seed starter(that i didnt end up using) And some potting soil called farmers delight. It has no slow release chemicals or anything.

My water ph is always 6.5 6.6 as i want it in the correct range to keep them happy. I'm a great hydro grower but this is difficult to switch to.

My temps are 78 high and 68 low at night.

I will update on them tomorrow. After i fed them they seemed to really perk up for the day. I can even see new growth on the smaller underdeveloped plants :) I hope the nitrogen was the only thing wrong! I am starting to figure out my soil problem now.
