Slug problem

Staropramen

Having recently moved my plants to a new location I'm getting a little leaf loss through slugs...

Is it a good idea to use slug pellets or will that harm the soil - plant?

Does putting a ring of copper around the plant work?
Currently there is a circle of copper coins around the base of the plant, will this work?

Any other suggestions?

Was drinking Staropramen last night in a country pub till the early hours!!!
Slug pellets are ok if you dont over do it, copper also works, as does sand and salt.

Sprinkle some of this stuff around. I use it for my outdoor plants.

Diatomaceous Earth.

10lb. bag cost me $10. Lasts a good while.

I even use it on my dog's bedding to kill any fleas she may bring in.

I had the same problem,I put a 1/2 cup of beer next to each plant along with copper rings around the base of each plant that I made from some stripped speaker wire,The cups all had quite a few dead slugs in em last time I checked, hope this was helpful :peace:

copper does work

Copper wire will do the trick wind some around the bottom of the stalk and they will not cross it. I have used it for a few years on my outdoor and no problems. Stops snails too! You can buy a mesh like I use from these guys 14$, it expands as the stalk gets bigger.

Peace

Wont harm anything ether.

If you like REP would be nice.

I have used Slug Shields and they work fantastically. They are made of copper but are wiry tangle that acts like an little electric, barbed wire fence. Greatest part is that they last all season. I used to pull my hair out and tried many other "solutions"; I will use these every season.

get a beer can drink the contents then cut the can in half the slugs like beer, but they cant escape the smooth inside of the can. ;)
