Small grow box plan, could use some feedback

Hey everyone, I'm planning on setting up a small stealth grow box for 2 plants in my bedroom closet, and I wanted to share my design here to get some feedback and questions answered. I will be building the box from this guide with a few modifications of my own. http://www.marijuanagrowershq.com/the-100-grow-cabinet/ First off, I was planning on having the CFL be horizontal and using one of those turkey pans as a reflector instead of vertical so that I would have more space in my box and wouldn't have to worry about it burning the plants as much. But after seeking feedback on GC, someone recommended that I still have the bulb be vertical and put some chicken wire in the shape of a cylinder around it. What do you guys think, would that be better? I was also thinking of adding 4 more 23 watt CFL's, but I wanted to get everyone's opinion on this first. For reflective material, I was planning on going with either mylar or panda plastic, whichever one is better at preventing light leakage. My closet also has no doors, so I plan on hanging a blackout curtain to block light leakage. For ventilation, I was planning on using 1-2 PC fans for intake and 1-2 for exhaust, but I don't know what size or CFM range I should aim for, so I was hoping someone could tell me what ones would be best. I was also planning on using rumple's guide to light proof my fans. http://forum.grasscity.com/grow-room-designsetup/106154-step-step-light-proof-mounting-axialboxpc-fan.html For odor control, I had a couple different plans that I wanted to get feedback on, but if anyone knows of a better method, please share because this issue is very important. The first method is simply attaching these cut to size carbon filters in the pic below to my exhaust fans. The second plan is to build the carbon filter in this guide and attach it to my exhaust fans. https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-best-diy-ez-walmart-carbon-filter-for-micro-grows-zen-style.101248/ I'd really like some feedback on which one would be better because odor control is super important.

Lastly, I was planning on growing my plants in hempy buckets and I was planning on scrogging my plants and using a gridwall panel that will be cut to size as my screen.

You are going to need more ventilation (pc fans = micro-grow), based on the space (full closet), and a bigger carbon filter. Rethink it, if odor is going to be a problem.

Pc fans don't do well blowing through carbon filters, they're not made for back pressure. If you can exhaust the air out a ways from the intake I'd like try ozone generator in ducting.

What is a gridwall?

If you're putting your screen in horizontally you will want your cfls horizontally pretty close to the screen with the ability to raise it slightly at the end.

More light the better. Look into the cree led bulbs if you want off the shelf or into cxa3070 or vero 29 led chips for diy. All kinds of info in the indoor growing led section of this forum

Did you go to the first link in my post? I'm building the small grow box that is on that website with a few modifications. The box is 35-3/4" tall, 19" deep, and 25-3/4" wide. So its just a small grow cabinet that will be kept in my closet, not an entire closet grow.

Thanks for letting me know about the PC fans, I'm not going to be ducting since this is such a small grow in a small space. Is there any other fans that I could use instead of PC fans that my carbon filter methods would work on? Ill look into cree bulbs, I always thought that you had to use those super expensive and certified LED lamps to grow.

Where do you get gridwall? What is it normally used for? I'm needing to build myself a scrog.

This is the best tutorial for pc fans and filters I know of

I have a tiny cab too but had heat problems so out on a 4in fan with big carbon filter. My veg cab has a pc fan but no filter or light trap. So no personal experience there

I've only seen it online, stores normally use it to hang items for sale. Thanks, thats a useful thread, but I can't seem to find any PC fans that are powerful enough.

Just go get a tent, dr40 or a dr60, or they have cheaper tents that are like 32 inch tall but wide and deep. It will be less hassle and easier to do

Every tent at a reasonable price to me had multiple complaints of light leaks through cloth and zipper

Plus the passive intakes have no light block

Yeah they do? They have Velcro flaps that can be applied if its a gorilla or if it's a secret jardin they are already attached. No light leaks with either my gl40 or my DS60, and I paid less than $80 on eBay a piece....he also said he's hanging a black light curtain over the front of the closet, so who cares about light leaks?

Flaps that close off air flow, meaning no longer passive air intakes.

I don't know what used ones are going for but the gorillas I saw new were more than I'd spend for a tent being a personal grow that doesn't sell any

I would love to get a tent if I had the extra money, but unfortunately I'm on a budget so I have to stick with my plan.

What's your budget? I bet you would come close to the same as a proper tent oh and the tent can be moved/taken down....growing is an investment hobby, always planning for the future. I said my .02 though so I'm outie
