Small white bugs living in soil

I can't seem to find what type of bugs these are. I bought MG seed starter soil and noticed a bug on the outside of the bag after I used it for a bunch of clones. Now I have ~13 into flower a few weeks and I dont see any damage, but I have a few newer clones and I see a bug or 2 run over the top of the soil and they dig down before I can catch them. I'd get a pic if I had a better camera and could actually catch one. In my flowering cab, theres one or 2 fruit fly looking things in there. Idk if they're the same bug or not. Anyone know what they might be? If so, what should I use to control them? I may just toss the soil and clones that haven't rooted yet.

place about a half inch of perlite on the top of all your soil so there is no soil showing and feed as normal the flies , lava should all dissapear after a week or 2

sounds like fungus gnats, look for pictures on google. it could also be the much rarer root aphids.

Thanks for the help, Ill put some perlite on the soil. I also put fly tape over a yellow paper to help catch the flying buggers.

the perlite will kill them aswell i believe mate , i think they fly into the soil to lay eggs but if you add the layer of perlite instead of laying eggs they get stuck and suffocate , fly tape wont hurt though so go ahead :D
