Smart Pot Funk

hey all

i just made the switch to smart pots and noticed some funk growing on the sides of the pots. its crusty and white. it could be salt build up or powdery mildew. not sure

any smart pot users out there encountering the same thing as me?

i did get a patch of PM, killed those plants, and now i'm wondering if the the PM was growing on the side of the pots and then spreading to plants...any comments on my craziness

when you touch it does it smear? If it does then probably mold. But I use smart pots and I get some deposits on the outside of the bags when they get dried out.

hmm ive heard of this with smartpots i diont understand y ud want a smart pot to water ur plants tho
i enjoy the time i get to spend with my babies when im growing anything doesnt have to be special just has to be mine lolz

On mine, it's just mineral deposits from the water. It's more evident at the top where the water level rises when the system floods. I get a bit of algae growth on the sides as well.

you are thinking of auto pots.
smart pots dont water our plants for us bro lol they just air prune the roots.
