Smell Issue

ok, here's my issue

I got a room under the stairwell going into the basement. Mothers are on the bottom and flowering room is ontop.

I had a harvest bout 4 or 5 weeks ago and my house completly reaked of fresh growing weed... I've tried a DIY ozone generator and it made everyone in the house sick..

Next thing i tried was a DIY carbon air filter with a computer fan moving the air through the filter, i guess its not strong enough to move the air through all the activated carbon n filter n just blows back into the room... I've ordered a 12v squiral cage fan thats built for computer servers...

I'm trying to keep everything 12v so the elec bill won't go sky high, only thing runnin 120v is the lights and timers and maybe the pumps...

But noise is an issue with me as well, I hold all kinds of social parties with state officals (not cops) i'd be crazy as hell if I did...

So noise and smell are my biggest issues right now, if anyone could help me out i'd be greatfull

sorry to be so neg in the last responce BUT you didnt plan well. cost verse noise is hugh. so i sugggest 1000W of leds. no heat, no noise ,no yeild= win, win , lose :leaf:

I'm only using a 150watt HPS bulb so heat isn't an issue.

I'm just trying to keep the noise down and also smell

duh noise is caused by the taking away of the smell.etc carbon filter/ masking agents/ozone = read before you start. you can go to jail kid.

the no yield part with the leds is what tells me not to do it...

HEY DIMEBAGDAN your a goof go shoot yourself ya loser! fuck people like you are sad this his the help section in the forum so no questions are bad. so anyway buddy just get a carbonfilter with a 6" fan scrubbing the inside of your closet and that should work

The carbon filter I made out of a high performance air filter for a car, it was like 10 bucks... Then went to the pet store and got 2 bags of activated carbon and filled up the air filter and put a mesh screen to hold all the carbon in and used a 3" pcp pipe and siliconed all the creases and attached a regular computer fan n didn't work out too well so that why I bought the fan above.. Hopefully that fan will work alot better and still be quite...

Fan, Filter and a sealed room. Such a small grow you could use a 4" inline fan and carbon scrubber. You can put a dimmer on the fan also to reduce noise, they run about 25 at the local shop.

You can use black and white poly to make the room. It's cheap and reflects great. then 9.99 for a zipper door for your tent. Here's a pic of mine.

i wouldnt skimp on a carbon filter, to me its the most important part of the room as it could save a great deal of pain and agony. do yourself a favor and buy a legit carbon filter like active air or can.

Yeah make a little room or go buy a cheap tent. I have 2 under my basement stairs! That way you could buy a cheap duct booster fan and a decent carbon filter and you will be golden.

Now ur talkin about some serious cash! led lights are newer and cost a hell of alot more! little 150 watters are around 250 300 bucks if im mistaken, please correct me! u could sound proof the room and then put a exhast fan in!! good luck man!!
