Sorry but this is one of the dumber bits of stoner logic I have read on a forum. You also have animal hairs all over that picture you just posted...does that keep your plants happy?

It's easy to be a critic. Frankly, I don't give a rats ass what you believe.

Well some plants usually do put off smells when they are damaged...but that's being damaged...like when u Choo em they smell like crazy ...right....Ianyways I'd justeave it alone

To the OP, your options are planting a known low-odor variety or keeping your plants small (i.e. less than 1/2 lb., depending on your distance from neighbors).

Keep in mind, the growing part is not the only smelly part, harvesting will reak up your whole yard.

As far as companion planting, unless you intend on maintaining tons of herbs and constantly brush up against them 24/7 to release there smell, its not going to do much. I just went to a plant sale and stood next to racks and racks of citronella plants and I couldnt smell it until it was touched.

Feel free to post any supporting science that confirms your original statement. Anecdotal observations of a tent grow dont count as facts.
Happy Plants do indeed smell....even ones without flowers on them yet can put off quite an odor.

I was confused when you said there were animal hairs on my bud because I run a hepa air filter in my tent.
So I took a close look & the only hairs I see are cannabis.
You are not only an opportunistic fool, you also need to get your eyes checked by a professional.

Hey, if you are going to post your pics as some sort of affirmation that you know what you are talking about, they better be on point before you start spewing disinformation on forums.
I circled it for you, maybe keep the cat out your tent.

Don't know if you communicate with your neighbors at all or how close they are but if you do make convo now and again mention the sighting of a family of skunks you seen. If they do smell the herb (unless there tokers themselves) they will more than likely relate the smell to ole Pepe le pew.. The power of suggestion goes a long way. There are also low odor phenos out there ,, Cantaloupe skunk being one of them..

Btw; yes there are a few plants you can grow in order to try and mask the smell. Here are a few, some will work better for your particular situation than others.. Also depending on your location and what will thrive there ??
Jasmine is a good one but night blooming. Here are a few others.

Night-scented:

Cestrum nocturnum
brunfelsia americana and nitida
brugmansias
brassavola nodosa

Day-scented:

osmanthus fragrans
magnolia grandiflora
gardenias
trachelospermum jasminoides
murreyas and citrus (similar scent and strength)
plumerias

Yeah..you can TRY being the key word...but if you have a strong smelling plant they won't do a thing...I meen u don't smell any plant u just named from 100 yards away ...pot can have very pungent smells and very noticeable ones...you might smell some other plant and not even think about it.
But get a wiff of herb and ur brain goes, hummm

As suggested earlier, LOTS of manure helps. If you have a dog or cat, you can also collect their shit and pile it in a couple of places around your garden area.

I thought one guy had a great idea. During the last 2 - 3 weeks when the smell is strongest, look for a roadkill skunk and deposit him by the side of the road nearby.

That's what I said earlier...but I just go out and kill them myself...I usually liver al a slunk if possiable

My plants are 5 weeks old and the smell hit you in the face as soon as you walk around the corner of my house very stout Chem dog and blueberry kush!

i might try the dog/cat shit method, i've got three dogs and a cat that likes to bury his shit in my garden...

My BIL always keeps a couple of feeder pigs in a pen nearby to help with smell. When the wind is just right, I can smell some skunky shit over at my place.

This must be why everyone i know with a pig pen has a few plants right next to them.. It is dificult at times to cover the smell of these sweet ladies since the odor is so distinct. There are certain low odor pheno types that dont smell much untill cured and when they do smell it is mostly like rotten fruit. Canaloupe skunk being in my top 5 is actually one of them. I suggest them to everyone as they are really a great plant in many ways..
