Smells Like Hay

Most of the ttime when your bud smells like hay it's because it was dried too quickly or in very low humidity and warmer temps! Just my 2 cents!
i would go with this 1.. you can cure forever but if you dried the shit to fast or until the stem snaps them you have over dried it and it will always smell like hay...get ya high tho.

A slow dry is more important than a long cure imo. I only hang flowers until the outside feels dry to the touch and the stem bends, dosn't crack or break. then jar them up for a day and then open them up and let them sit out for a few hours and repeat that for a week or until they are at a good moisture level to my liking then I will keep the jar closed for a week at a time without opening until i need to smoke it

man so many people talk fuckin shit on this forum and dont no what the fuck they are talking about. id like to know how many people in this forum actually grow pot. first off greenhouse seeds rock if you wanna talk shit about greenhouse your a fool some of my favourite weed strains are green house strains and i know most actual pot heads will tell you the same great white shark white widow el nino this list goes on and on and ive never had a problem germinating a green house seed you wanna find a bunk seed company check out dutch passion every blueberry picture i see looks completely different and when i grew autoblueberry it ending up looking more like a sativa then an indica plant. second ive grown out door and indoor altho only once indoor but outdoor if grown alot and i can tell you first hand weed will smell like hay if the strain you are growing naturally has mild smelling tricromes. a heavy kush plant will always smell dank but a strain like great white shark needs curing to smell great the hay smell comes for the decomposition of chlorophyll just like how when you manicure a mild smelling cannabis strain while the bud is still wet right after manicuring it will have a fresh cut grass smell now sometimes bud will stay smelling like hay this is because of chlorophyll lock in it happens when you expose you drying cannabis to light for too long or if you screw up the drying process in a number of ways if this happens you will never get the hay smell out strains dont naturally smell like hay the idea of curing it to take out all the chlorophyll and leave the bud smelling of nothing but the essential oils and trichromes. please if you dont grow cannabis dont give adivise on growing because you think you know everything cause you read the cannabis grower bible or someshit exsperiance is the only way to learn about growing cannabis.

this might not apply to many people, but i CONSTANTLY misjudge the smell of my herb.

a close buddy of mine will come over and ask what's on deck, and i'll explain to him that curing just started and they don't smell so hot yet. then he whiffs the jar and almost falls on his ass. says it smells like god's vagina lol. i don't know if i'm just immune to the smell from having all these strains in different stages and it jacks with my sense of smell, but i never seem to be quite as impressed with the smell as everyone else.

for some odd reason if i put the stuff in a bag to take it somewhere, i can smell what others smell after opening the bag. just not at home in the jar for some reason. it's probably just me.

I'm with you there. I recent;y got my first 'street opinion' and they love it. Meanwhile, when I sold it I was worrie that it didn't smell enough, I pulled it too early, it's too expensive etc, when in reality it was alright.
We're definitely our toughest critics.
