so my fruits i have drying are nice and dry and i started the curing process yesterday. i took the lid off to do the "breathing" thing for 15 minutes and it did not smell like fruits at all. i didnt understand why it brings out the hay smell in the curing process.

this is supposed to be pink panther.
not real sure if itss truely pinky but it looks beautiful and SMELT good before the jar. it didnt sample bad. kind of harsh but figured some would go away with curing it.
i have had multiple returns that some were hearty and some were not. did the same thing. but not all of it.

am i doing or not doing something thru the veg/flower steps. i flushed with water the last two weeks also.

i am going to continue to cure untill suggested differently.
some advise would be greatly appreciated as i am staring some beautiful nuggs in the face, but still not able to get that smell out of my nose.

The smell your talking about is the chloro & ammonia coming out of the center of the "fruits". All the chemicals the plant uses in photosynthesis and in general come out in curing. The hay smell is the plant still curing. Be sure to open the jars every 8 hours depending on how much you have curing in the container. The longer it cures, the longer inbetween opening and airing you should do. ALSO make sure you take the "fruit" out of the jars and reposition them so the ones on bottom dont stay wet while the ones on top dry/cure quicker. Anyone else want to comment to help him out?

on a scale of 1 to 10 on being dry id say a 7.5. i have two kinds that i just started curing. one is just a good reg that was passed on by a friend. the other is supposed to be pink panther. dont know if its truly PP but it some higher end stuff.
they did smell a bit better today.
i have about 1-1.5 oz of fruit per jar and a couple of lg. coffee cans.
burping them for 30 minutes a day.
im a bit skeptical that the smell wont come back.
everything seems to jive why. i had this happen to my second harvest. this is three, so i didnt know if it was me or my methods??

i will up date the post every few days for some helpful feed back to you all.

thanks for the info guys.

mine is comeing back. it wasnt like they didnt smell at all they smelt like chlorophyllE sorta grass smell. and every day i open the jar its turning more into a sweet ganja stench. mine were really crispy on the outside but still damp stems. then they just kinda equaled out and the more the dryness get consistant the more they smell dank especially when your breakin it up
