I'm surprised you went with an indica for outdoors what's your reasoning?

short, fat, shorter grow season, and I must say i prefer an indica high... so i felt like 100% indica would be perfect for me. plus they tend to be darker, and i'm planting in and around evergreen.

Word, yeah same reasons I went with it, well all except the darker part. How long did it take you to get yours? I ordered mine a few days ago with Express International shipping and it's not even showing as shipped yet.

Well something fucking dug up my plants and had themselves dinner. I had deer repellent in use, but whatever it was had a field day. oh well, the next batch are going in the ground in just a couple weeks, this time with some chicken wire around them.

these were just some good bag seed so i'm not too worried. I kinda expected something to happen, which is why i started them early to see what kinda critter activity i can expect.

I have some Kush sprouting in the window seal, but it's been cloudy and rainy for the past few days so they're nice and stretched. still a few more shitty days in the forecast too. nothing picture worthy yet. :joint:

still haven't popped the thai. the kush is out on the deck hardening off before I transplant them out in the woods. no pics, no camera until I get mine back from the pawn shop.

they're looking pretty good, slow growing. we had a long stretch of april showers and cloudy days so they're a little lanky. starting to tighten up now it's been sunny. not sure if I mentioned it, but this is an 100% organic grow.

*went out in the woods to check out my holes, and sure enough, some of that bag seed survived and 3 plants are thriving. took a nice long piss on them and called it a day.

Still early, but i've noticed some different phenotypes in the Kush.

for a supposedly pure Indica, some have thinner leaves more like a hybrid. went back to Attitude Seeds website and it says "Heavy Indica", hmm...

Anyways, 1 of the 3 bag seed plants didn't make it when I transplanted it elsewhere. I put my first 2 Kush plants outside, the rest are still getting started in the window.

I've been experimenting with different mediums in different holes, along with different nutes... SUCKS not having my camera.

a couple pics as promised. I apologize for the SHITTY out of focus pics. I used my g/f's phone and apparently it won't focus under bright light...

these are my two of my kush babies. they are about a month old and got a rough start, slow growing as well due to the last 3 weeks being overcast. now that they're outside in their holes and not getting attacked by my cats, I hope they'll take off.

they're darker than the camera + light makes them appear, and yes my cat ate the first node + leaves. I also got an early start on topping the two.

OK apparently I have a PH problem. I knew this, but haven't really acted too much to correct it. my growth has been super slow and it seems as if the plants are not absorbing nutes from the soil. I'm heading over to THCofgreen's to get a meter and some soil, maybe a little ash if there's some still in the fire place from winter. I also have a little lime, I'll just have to play around until I can get it all balanced out.

I think I'm going to harvest in two days. I was looking at the trichs and I think they are right were I want them. I'm just debating flushing one more time.

i read somewhere that if you take a leaf, break it open and taste the juices.. it will tell you if nutes are still being stored in the plant. should be a clean, water taste rather than bitter. also says to harvest in the dark, and make sure to separate the roots from the plant before being exposed to light. Let me know when you do, and i'll help you give that shit a haircut.

that sour diesel had me fuckered up for hours! thanks man. :peace:

Interesting, I haven't heard that about tasting the leaf. I was planning on harvesting in the morning time before the light comes on. Glad you liked the diesel.

ok now that's better...

6 23w 2700k CFLs, will use 12 once I get out and buy some more bulbs.

decided to go ahead and run these little ones 12/12 from seed, I've been super curious about this method. I'm using MG Organic Choice potting mix, remember I'm on a budget this go 'round. Planted in 1 gallow grow bags, using Fox Farm Peace of Mind 5-5-5 for the meantime. The largest two are Hindu Kush, the smaller ones are an unnamed hybrid from some really good shit we get locally.

Outdoor plants are looking rough after more than a week of nonstop rain, will get pics when it dries out a little.

:peace:

some pics of the outdoor. You can see one or two was chewed on by something, the others are doing a.o.k. for all the rain. some were started before others, and a few I didn't even get a pic of. this is site A, there will be a B, just haven't started yet. Site B will be container plants.

to help combat the animals, I put some powdered repellent in a pill bottle, drilled some holes in the bottom, and hanged it from a tree. when the wind blows, even slightly, it drops it on the ground so I don't have to do every time it rains.
