thanks bro. think ill get myself a bottle when my hydroguard is gone.

i had bought a tub of great white thinking it was water soluble but its not really lol
That was my biggest issue with great white too. It's truly not that water soluble because I'd see granular powder at the bottle of my res. To use up the rest of my great white I've been sprinkling it directly on the roots (in the hole) when I'm transplanting clones. Seems to be the most effective method of using it.

Here's a shot of the CF (triangle x dosidos) clones I transplanted earlier in the week, just into some canna coco. hand watering with water from my res. This is like 4 days after transplant so they're still light green while they try to establish their roots. It's nice to see them perky and praying.

Still waiting for CF1 & 4 to show sex in the flower tent to decide if I keep all these clones or not.

They're like 24'' under a 132w blurple chinese led.

The root ball left behind the Creme Fraische #6, which was culled because it was a male. So unfortunate because that plant had another gear on the vigor scale.
IMG_5472.JPG

Creme Fraische #2. Super healthy female that's 95% green, just a touch of purple on a few stems leading to some bigger lower fan leaves.
IMG_5476.JPG

A side by side of the root balls of the 3 confirmed males that were culled. The other ones are 1-2 weeks old and have dried out and yellowed, but they were nice and white when they got the axe treatment.

View of the 4x4 tent. CF #4 STILL hasn't shown sex yet, my fingers are crossed for white pistols tomorrow.

Another view of the 4x4. Didn't white balance adjust so this is true to what it looks like with lights on.

Viola, CF#4 showed sex today and she is female. That means I got a 50/50 ratio of female to males out of the 6 CF that I popped.

So the flowering tent now has 12 female plants in there. 6 of 12 are on day 35 of flower, the rest are all around 1 week. The staggering should be nice since I have a feeling things are about to be getting perpetual. I'm looking at a harvest in the middle/late part of March, and another towards the end of April/ early May.

I received my seed order from @Dankonomics_genetics yesterday - thanks bro! Riddle me this, how often can you can reach out to a breeder on a Friday afternoon and come home Monday from work to find beans in your mailbox? Seriously though, that's how it's done man. Straight up professional, it's hard to find that these days.

So I got 5 Mendo Breath x Starfighter seeds wet yesterday (which were part of that order). 24 hours later 4/5 have cracked and are showing tails so I'll give them another 24 hours in the wet paper towel before they go into coco. Since these are testers I'm not going to sit around and wait to grow them like some people do. When someone gives you an opportunity to test their genetics, that's what you do.

So right now I got 12 plants in the flower tent, 8 CF plants that are rooted clones and confirmed female in the veg tent, and 9 more clones of the Crescendo RBX1 in the aerocloner. Hopefully I don't run out of room.

I'll drop by again in a couple days with an update.

Bunch of new things happening around the garden so it's time for an update.

Did some defoliation in the 4x4 tent yesterday, cleaned up the lowers on all the CF's and Crescendo's, and also cleaned up the BFG's who managed to get pretty bushy over the last week weeks,

All 5 Mendo Breath x Starfighter germinated and are in the veg tent getting their grow on. Same with the Crescendo clones, all 9 rooted and have been transplanted and put under the veg light.

Gave 2 CF clones out to a friend, so that leaves 12 in the flower tent, 5 Mendo Breath x Starfighters, 6 CF clones, and 9 Crescendo clone - total of 32 plants as it stands.

I picked up some LM561c LED strips, rated at 50 watts per strip. Grabbed 2 3500K and 2 2700K, and will be wiring them up to replace the lighting in the 2x4 tent. The plan is to use angled aluminum to assemble a frame for the lights and driver. This new setup will provide 25w per sq ft of light for the veg tent, which I believe should be adequate. I believe I'm right around 61-62 watts per sq ft in the flower tent.

Also picked up a black 24''x44'' flood tray for the 2x4 tent. The DIY table I've been using works, but I want something with a little better drainage. Even when the table is empty after a flood, not all the water empties down into the res. I've thought about using an egg-shell type plastic layer on the bottom, but I figured it would be easier to just get the table and be done with it.

I also ordered some extra parts to create a second dripper sytem for the 2x4 veg tent, so once everything arrives and I get it setup I'll post pictures. All the plants in the veg tent are in coco coir, so I'll be nice when I can get them on a dripper.

The hydroton is working really well in the flower tent, so I'm a bit hesitant to change things up, but I really like the versatility of coco coir. It's just easier for me to handle multiple plants when working with coco over ton, not sure why that is.

Lastly, the order of Rainbow Belts from Archive & The White x Sundae Driver from Cannarado is en route.

Correction on a previous post. I must have been stoned because the watts per sq ft is 35.6 not 61-62.

Uppotted the Creme Fraische clones today and all of em’ had beautiful white roots, a bit root bound but they’ll be fine with new boots.

Things have been coming along nicely in both the veg and flower gardens. The Creme Friasche has me very excited @Dankonomics_genetics , I mean look at the structure on them, not even topped. Most of the lower branches kept up in stretching with the main colas that they're basically mini main colas :bigjoint:

I did lots of defoliation these past couple days to ensure all promising budsites get ample amounts of light.

IMG_5847.JPG IMG_5864.JPG

This Ghost Cake pheno is looking more and more everyday like she'll be a treat. Everything about her is telling me I'll be pleased with the outcome. The calyx to leaf ratio is excellent, it stretched about 50% so very manageable in the tent. Nice dense bud development on the middle and lowers and an overall decent visible trich production. I think I'm going to let her go 63 days and see how she shapes out. I'm in no rush if she needs to go longer.

Things are humming along nicely in the gardens. Did some rearranging on Thursday to make it easier to flush the plants that are on week 8 of flower. Here's the breakdown.

Took the 6 plants that were on the left half of the 4x4 tent and put them in the 2x4 tent. Thankfully there was just enough vertical space to squeeze them in. The lights in the 2x4 are dialed down low, 150 watts or so. The plants were: 2 Nanadawgs, 3 Ghost Cakes, and 1 Sweet Deep Grapefruit.

The 9 crescendo clones and 5 mendo breath x starfighter seedlings that WERE in the 2x4 tent have been moved into the 4x4 flower tent. I put a drip stake on each one and over the last three days they're not skipping a beat. The 3 creme fraische and 3 crescendos that have remained in the 4x4 (right side) are enormous. I had to pick up some extra tie downs from the store because of how massive they are. I kid you not, these plants were 12-14'' tall when they went into flower, they've over tripled and quadrupled in size, pushing 60'' tall.

I'm sitting in good shape with the 2x4 tent because it's allowing me to separate the 'further along, more mature' flowering plants from the others. Since they're on an entirely different table I can flush them because this table has its own reservoir. For the time being I'm using just Recharge and RO water in the reservoir, flooding every 4 hours. The Recharge contains molasses and other goodies that are beneficial for retaining terpenes and flavonoids. I'll continue with this for a few more days, and go straight water for the last 4-5 days.

Once these ladies are cut down, the 2x4 will also serve as the dry tent. My main focus is to keep the 4x4 dialed in nicely and finish it strong, then do a complete reset before starting up some new gear. If I was going to keep on growing perpetually I'd likely start some new seeds pretty soon here, but sometimes it's nice to pause for a short period of time before doing so.

Upcoming work will for sure feature some rainbow belts from archive and jeeves from cannarado, plus some testers from dankonomics (bfc x tk x starfighter).

Today is day 70 for the first 6 plants in the flower tent. The dank looking Ghost Cake is ready to come down, so she'll get chopped tomorrow when I can get to it. The Nanadawg's are finally starting to yellow up a bit, it's been like 2 week of straight water and they just wouldn't flush out. I'm thinking they'll both be ready by this weekend, or mid next week at the latest. The Sweet Deep Grapefruit should be ready this weekend, and same goes with 1 of the other 3 ghost cake phenos. The last ghost cake is probably going to take 10 more days, but we'll see because they've been changing fast these past two days.

The Mendobreath x Starfighter testers resulted in 4 confirmed males and 1 likely female. It hasn't thrown any pistols yet, so I'll be keeping an eye on her, but based on the structure of all the males being very squat, this one has very nice structure and balanced internodal spacing. Fingers crossed it's XX.

The 4x4 is just chugging along and the plants are feasting. Not too much to report there. The Creme Friasche are on day 52 of flower and the Crescendo are on day 43. After culling those male mendo miracles that leaves 11 crescendo clones and 1 mendo miracle on day 12 of flower.

Here's some shots of the ghost cake that is getting chopped tomorrow

I chopped the sweet deep grapefruit over the weekend, she's hanging out in the drying tent for the time being. The remaining two Ghost Cakes are just about done, one should be ready in the next couple days while the other will need 5-7 days. I'll be honest that I'm VERY pleased with how all three phenos turned out, two looked lackluster at the beginning but they've both really stacked up nicely and swelled a lot over the past few weeks.

One nana dawg should be ready to come down any day now while the other is taking her time. Both are putting out a sort of chocolatey smell, reminds me a lot of some chocolope I grew out 10+ years ago. The one that's taking her time is also a polyploid, so it's likely that the bigger/denser buds are taking some extra time for her to finish.

In the 4x4, two of the three Creme Fraische are in flush mode. It took some brainstorming, but I found an ideal way to individually flush these two plants (while continuing to feed full strength nutrients in the reservoir) by putting them in 2 gallon hemp buckets and elevating them 3-4'' off the table. They're on day 58 right now and should be ready for chop in about another week. The third Creme Friasche is going to take a bit longer, so she'll start getting flushed in the coming week.

Big big variance in the three phenos of Creme Fraische (TK x Dosido). One has heavy golf ball sized nugs everywhere, very dense, very round, nice trich production and nice nose. The other has to be VERY dosido dominant because the buds are VERY small but very frosty, unusual shaping to them, looks a lot like some OGKB stuff to be honest. The third pheno is a blend of the two, falling right in the middle in terms of weight/bud structure/appearance. I'll get some photos up on here soon, it's just kind of hard to get clear photos with how overgrown everything is in the 4x4. Once I pull them out for chop I should be able to focus in and take some nice pictures to share.

Other than that I'm starting to get things prepped for the outdoor garden. I have an 8'x16' outdoor garden in my yard that needs to be tilled and amended. I picked up a nice variety of hot peppers (mustard habaneros, chocolate ghost peppers, jalapenos, and some others), so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how they do. I have some extra FFOF and coco laying around so I think I'll blend those two together to create a nice light mix to start the seeds in.

Chopped down a second Ghost Cake & first Nanadawg yesterday. At this time the 2x4 has two plants remaining (one nanadawg and one ghost cake) and they'll both be getting the axe by the end of the week. This damn nanadawg just refuses to finish, she's still throwing out white pistols and her leaves have remained a perfect green (even though she's been getting straight water for 3+ weeks). She's also a polyploid with huge colas (pop can size) which has to be why it's taking her so long to finish.

Ghost Cake 1 has been drying for 7 days, Sweet Deep Grapefruit 6 days, both should be ready for a trim and jars this weekend.

Update time.

I spent a good couple hours in the garden yesterday and got caught up on some much needed work. The last Ghost Cake and Nanadawg were chopped yesterday, which means the 2x4 became available again. So I reset the 2x4 and moved three plants inside to free up some space in the 4x4 because everything is really getting overgrown in there. The three plants I moved to the 2x4 were two Crescendo RBX1's Pheno #2's (shorter phenos), and the one Mendobreath x Starfighter female. All are a bit whispy with their long side branching since they were getting towered over in the 4x4. They should get some nice light in the 2x4 and the plan is to finish them in there.

2/3 Creme Friasche we're also chopped yesterday, leaving one Creme Fraische left that'll need another 10-14 days. I'll throw her into a hempy bucket later today to begin the flush.

The rest of the 4x4's is full of Crescendo RBX'1. The original three Crescendo's are currently on week 8 of flower, while their clones are somewhere around 2 weeks. All three phenos have a nearly identical aroma. Peach, Citrus, and Gas. Quite an interesting combination that I've personally never smelled before. Honestly, it's got me all kinds of excited.

Phenos #1 & 3 are both taller varieties with a tendency to stretch a lot. Keep that in mind if you ever grow this strain, I flipped them all at 15'' and they've stretched to 45''-48'' in height. Pheno #2's stretch isn't quite as extreme, the original seed stretched to 35'' tall and the clones are around 30''.

Now lets shift over to the Ghost Cake for a minute because all three phenos are amazing. Pheno #1 (which was photographed a lot on this thread) was ready to be trimmed up after 10 days of hanging. The bag appeal and smell is just off the charts, she's SO trich rich and so overpowering and strong smelling. The calyx to leaf ratio was phenomenal and it made trimming a breeze. Honestly, one of the best strains I've ever grown. I smoked a few bowls out of the bong over the weekend and she got me ripped, very ripped.

The nose is completely OG/ghost on this pheno. Reminds me of gas and rubber, a lot like the OGK #18 from Reserva Privada from back in the day. Where this strain wins is from the black forest cake. It seems the BFC just brings the frost up another level and really keeps the leaf ratio down. It also seems to keep the stretch in check too. I don't have access to a lab, but I'm confident she'd test 25%+.

On the other hand I also trimmed up the Sweet Deep Grapefruit from Dinafem, this was a filler plant that I threw in last minute. This plant will 100% be used for extracts as I'm just not pleased with the end product. She got 9 days on the hanger before being trimmed. Very low aroma coupled with a lot of leafs just leaves me underwhelmed with this strain. She had a nice aroma throughout the grow, a nice berry smell I'd get when doing a leaf rub. But I can just tell she just doesn't have the attributes to compete with some of the other strains I have going. Overall she's just too leafy, not smelly enough, and doesn't have the bud structure to remain in my garden. To put it into perspective, the Ghost Cake had solid grade A nugs all the way down to the bottom lowers, whereas the grapefruit was larfy and weak. the bottom 1/2 of the plant I didn't even bother to trim, I just threw the nugs into a paper bag to use for extract down the road.

It's looking like all three Creme Friasche are going to be fire too. The 2 of 3 that I just chopped couldn't be anymore different. One is 100% dosido dominant, throwing out tiny little, dense, calyxy buds. Very low yielder but very frosty. The other CF is triangle kush dominant in its appearance. Dense, golfball size nugs all the way down, very gassy, shows a lot of what I'm looking for in a strain. Both finished quick in 9 weeks. The last CF in the tent (that needs another couple weeks) looks like a 50/50 split between the two.

With all that being said, it's all about having solid genetics. You can do everything right and grow a plant perfectly, but without solid genetics it's just another plant. I'm happy the Grapefruit plant was underwhelming because it's a reminder to keep the good stuff around when I come across it. So far @Dankonomics_genetics hasn't let me down. Solid in, solid out.
