Okey, so the harvest is nearly ready.... I can never wait till its done though, just looking at all those heads staring back and saying "smoke me now!!"
I realised as I was smokin` that I never have seen this method used so I thought, share it.
1. Put tobacco in microwave, on paper towel and burst for 10 seconds, turn it over and burst for 6 seconds. Take it out. Put freshly cut weed into microwave and burst for five seconds, wait five turn weed over then burst five seconds. Take half the baccy, put it into grinder, put weed on top, put other half of baccy on top, grind for ages then smoke, pipe or spliff.
2. Roll spliff with freshly cut weed, put in microwave, blast for eight seconds, turn over and blast for six seconds. Smoke.

unfortunitly. i dont think you should give tutorials on how to ruin your freshy grown green.

don't waste your time and effort on some bunk off that plant. let 'er dry and cure properly then you might not be left sayin "fuck i wish i could grow some bomb dope."

i did this last night but just wrapped in news paper and stuck it ontop of my reflector of the hps for few hours... microwaves a little fast...

HaHaaaa, I got enough grow to carry on with my methods. I get a great buzz from doin this way, I just dried the baccy instead of the weed. All essential oils and chemicals stay in the weed but lose some of the nicotine and tar from the baccy!? With the baccy roasted powder dry it burns hot enough to vaporize the moisture from the weed.
By the way I am quite old and not some green kid, I have been smoking for 25 years and I still enjoy what I do, so I will carry on doing it.
I grow more than I need and I dont sell anything off or give it away, its mine..... all mine... mwaahaaahaaaa.
I use this method if I am dry , why pay someone else when mine is nearly for free, okey, £25 for 10 seeds from Amsterdam.

if you wanna smoke it off the plant, spend the money on a vape and just pop off nugs and put them in, only thing thatll get it burned (make sure you get an adjustable heat dial vape too, cause fresh dank is much harder to vape than some crumbs you know? still the only thing that works without ruining the bud, and its still a vape hit of some fog right? cant really see the diff when you vape it in my opinion, i can only taste the thc and other shit, no excess chlorophyllic taste or anything noticable i found, just me though.

Update.... Its harvest time now. They go on top of my pc monitor for drying. takes 24-36 hours then they ready to smoke.
Vapourisers.....Thc is produced when the last drop of vapour dries away..... excellent theory, overkill IMHO. You ever put your finger in a lighter flame??? Hot enough for me...... just keep it right in the bowl till the end of the smoke.
Ever put your finger on the end of a spliff..........or burnt your lip on one?? Take two puffs at a spliff, one to get it on, then one to toke down the heat. Toke it like you would on a bong...not like a cigg.
I am smoking some excellent gear (jock horrocks) gotta try and calm down.... HEHE.

dude dont do the microwave put the oven on around 200 and let it dry on a plate in the oven for around 20 min and it will be much better then the microwave...Ive tried the microwave and it sux ass...just keep an eye on it in the oven...remember when u take itout the oven it will still dry a little more so take it out when it still has just a lil moisture

The microwave method is precise, 5 seconds, doesnt actually dry the ganja. The baccy is dried out and I have used this to smoke weed when I get delivery of weed that has not been dried properly.
The oven method?? thats pure shite! Tried it and it takes out some of the essential oils that make a smoke what it is.
So..... I am old school, I dont smoke till I am stoned and cant move.... I like to enjoy it for a while.... new school dudes just wanna gwet F56ked quick as they can.... Bo88lx to that.

rollbilly I can't ever say that I have or would try that method, but it each its own and I am glad it works for you. It is also nice to see people offering up new ideas whether others are into it or not. It is new ideas that will take this site to a new level. Although I don't post often I do read a lot of the info here. Good luck hope to see you around...

i've used the microwave to quick dry buds...its not bad...it does work and pretty quick too...but its no where near as good as using a vaporizer. i love to vape buds fresh off the plants :) i would recommend trying it sometime when u get the chance :) but i've done the microwave too and it does work.

Hey Rollbilly! I've been doing this means of dryin purchased wet weed I've bought too for as long as microwaves have generally been available with no problems, short blasts to get rid of excess moisture.

I really popped in to ask about your taking samples off your plants before harvest. I got 4 weeks to harvest on my first sucessful grow. Its a Greenhouse cheese strain that flowers in 8-9 weeks and I'm letting it go to 9 weeks. So my question, is it too early to sample? I tried like a week ago but nothing but a meager buzz. I attached a pic of one of my better buds and you can see they're looking tasty. I've been wanting to ask this question for a while and took the opportunity here. I may still ask the question in one of the forums just to see who says what but would like to get you opinion. My buds are looking real dank and are making me drool but all I read is wait, wait, wait till harvest. :weed:

Also does curing improve potency and taste/smoothness or does it just improve the taste/smoothness alone? This will be my first time curing too when it's time to harvest so I'm lookin forward to that experience. .

im not sure if curing does anything to the potency or not...but it will definitely improve taste and smoothness, and it may be a bit too early for you to sample. i started sampling after 6 weeks in flower. and i test them once a week to track the progress...and its only week 7 in flower, and the difference between the quality of the smoke from week 6 to 7 is amazing. at week 6 it was a mild buzz...and now a week later its more potent than most of the stuff i buy. its gonna rock when its done :D i would say wait til week 6 or 7 of flower to sample...cuz if i read that right ur only in week 5 right now? 4 weeks left of a 9 week flower right? yea...i would give them another week and then start to pinch some buds :blsmoke:

Yeah I'm in the 5th week of flowering and my 2 plants are coming along nicely with one having always looked a couple of days further along than the other. I haven't had good quality weed in a long time so I'm biting at the bit here. Keep me posted and nice 2 meet you !!!

Rollbilly sounds like he samples even later than we're doing. Waiting on his views on early sampling (threw that in so Rollbilly doesn't think we're hijacking his thread :lol:). But I really do want to hear his thought on the matter too.

yeah, I vape fresh weed too. its great. drying just removes the moisture so the material will burn. curing removes most junk like chems and chlor. those things aren't as necessary with a vaporizer.
also, I vape all the trimmings and little stems...and males

lol no problem dude! i havent had good weed in a while either...so i know exactly what ur saying about chomping at the bit to sample...haahah

You know, that taste 10x better with your method as opposed to sticking in microwave on a lower power for a long time or in the oven. I've been biting my nails all week trying to pick one off for a little taste test on my first. I split the bud in half, taste test microwave vs wacky tabacky method. All I have to say is don't knock it until you've tried it, thanks for the idea man keep tokin!
