Snot forming on root hydropon.

are the roots white looking or brown?

is it like moss/fungi? or somthing else

Possibly a water mold?... which is actually a protist and not a fungus. Are you using any hydroguard or anything?

First it never a good idea to go from soil to hydro pick 1 and stick to it. Second make sure your monitoring your res temps keep water under 70 degrees F. I also advise adding something like grotek H2o2 to keep mold fungus, bacteria and algae out while adding needed o2 to the res.

Well....that problem occured to me about a month ago...and i just blasted the roots off with a h2o2 spray, and cleaned the crap out of my bucket...It came back once right after, so i did that again, and its been gone ever since...:grnthumb:

Using low ph water from the start ~ no need for ph down.... Problem goes to cold case files for now. Should have gone to school for chemistry instead of brain surgeon.
Next case. what are these tiny black bugs on my roots? Look like a pinhead or smaller. lots of em (100 on 4 plants roots only(hydoponic)) No fly/ all on the roots.
