Snow White not growing HELP!!

Setup
I'm currently growing a few Snow White plants under CFL's. I have them in Miracle Grow Organic Soil which i know isn't the best but there wasn't much of a selection and I figured organic is better than the fertilizer balls that the other stuff has. I have about 7 CFL's on going 18 hours on, 6 off. Small fans circulate the air and the temp and humidity is in the correct area.

Problem
Anyways, its been a few months now but I noticed the plants stopped growing after about 2 weeks. The top of the plant is very green and healthy looking and the stem looks good too. However, the plant's aren't getting taller or thicker and the leaves below the top leaves are browning and dying.
Any idea what could be the cause of this? After no luck of moving the lights around, I tried flushing the soil fearing it was some kind of fert burn but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Could be the soil or maybe lack of nitrogen if your vegging could be heat problems but you say its doing well, it could be that theres no nutrients in the soil so that the leaves are having to put energy back into the plant in order for it to live, could be the slow-release formula (if there is any) it could be a huge amount of problems maybe pH off your going to have to provide a lot of other info.

hey i have alot of experience with snowwhite and that looks overwatered.. if i was you i would take off all dead leaf's and let the soil dry out all the way and see what happens

and dont add nutes i never add any untill flowering and all my snowwhite's where always happy

as for it not growing i had a snowwhite stop growing in height for some reason too and it was honestly the exact same size, i told nirvana and they reshipped my order for free, so let them know what's going on with your plant

If you didnt add any perlite to the soil, thats definitely the culprit. I grew in same soil for a 3 weeks and the plants were maybe the size of a silver dollar, after transplanting them to a better soil with perlite they quadrupled in size after a week. Flash forward 3 weeks and theyre perfect now and just started flowering.

The soil retains way too much water and becomes compacted after you water it a few times which is why you plants stopped growing after a couple weeks, they couldnt grow their roots any bigger. Switching to another potting soil and adding perlite will give the soil a more airy texture that lets the roots grow and get oxygen so they don't rot away. It will also drain way better and should alleviate the overwatering.

Hey guys I really appreciate the quick responses.

Snowwhite420- I will definitely tell nirvana about it, it seems all 3 plants are doing the same thing.

I took this pic yesterday when I made this thread.

LAX- I appreciate the help I'm gonna go buy some other soil/perlite and transplant them. Do you have any reccomendations? There's walmart, home depot, agway around here.

As for the chart:

strain: Snow White
lighting type: CFL's
lighting timing: 18 on/6 off

I used scott's premium garden soil and mixed with about 30-40% perlite (I didnt really measure, went with what I thought looked right). And after 3 days, my 3 plants all looked great which was impressive because I thought all but one of them would surely die. Scott's may not be the best or recommended by other people but I found it at home depot and it seems to be working well so I can't complain. I had to go to a nursery to find perlite without nutrients added but many people have said some walmarts and home depots will have it without nutrients. If you cant find any perlite without nutes and youre worried about nute burn you can just rinse it an asston of times and thats been said to cool it off a some. In any case perlite with a little nutrients added is a better option than no perlite at all because thats pretty much guaranteed death.

If you cant find those or want to try something else if you go to google you can search just rollitup and it works way better.

Just search "site:rollitup.org best home depot soil" or just "site:rollitup.org XXX". I was able to find a bunch of relevant threads quickly searching like that so i'm sure you'll be able to find a locally available somewhat proven mix to tranplant to. It basically only brings up threads from rolliup or whatever site you put in and google's engine is way, way better than the forum's search feature.

Thanks a lot LAX- I just got some non-nute'd perlite that I'm gonna add to the miracle grow organic, about 60% soil, 40% perlite and see if it helps. If it doesn't I'll try and get new soil.. Thanks again!
