No and No. Scotts-Miracle Gro owns both of those companies. Scotts-Miracle Gro is NOT Monsanto. You can hate on Monsanto all you want. You can hate on Scotts-Miracle Gro all you want. I don't care. But they are NOT THE SAME COMPANY. NOR ARE THEY SUBSIDIARIES.

First Scotts bought General Hydroponics, which includes General Organics.

Second Scotts bought Gavita.

Third Scotts bought Botanicare.

Monsanto has purchased NOTHING.
May 20, 2015 ... Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. will pay $300 million to expand its partnership with the agribusiness giant Monsanto.

Wikipedia says

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company is an American multinational corporation headquartered in Marysville, Ohio, where O.M. Scott began selling lawn seed in 1868. The company is considered an industry leader in the lawn and garden market, with regional offices and research facilities across the U.S. and businesses in Canada, Europe and Asia Pacific. In the U.S., the company's Scotts, Miracle-Gro and Ortho brands are market leading in their categories, as is the consumer Roundup brand, which is marketed in North America and most of Europe exclusively by Scotts. Outside of North America, the company's brands include Miracle-Gro, Evergreen, KB, Fertiligene, Celaflor and Substral.

Just a couple of the dozens of articles I found just by putting Scotts and Mon$anto in the same search.

Maybe Mon$atan didn't buy these companies in it's own name but they and Scotts are co-conspirators and basically the same company in all but name. One makes the ammo and the other pulls the trigger.

Now that Bayer has bought Mon$atan the Nazis that still run Bayer will pile up the bodies of smaller dead companies soon enough.

Splitting hairs is for lawyers and nitpickers who like to grind others down. Don't be a grinder and don't let them grind you!

No, they are not the same company in all by name. They have a partnership. That does not mean they share finances. It does not mean they pay the same tax bills. It's a partnership. They buy things from Monsanto. Many of which are pesticide related.

Monsanto and them are long time partners since '99 and are working on these ventures together exclusively just like the round up brand and so on. They signed a new partnership deal last year that gives Monsanto more of the gardening side and they are gonna deliver a broad range of gardening solutions together quoted by Monsanto vice president....this was last year and now scotts is buying all the gardening companies.....the ones they are gonna do with monsanto....Screenshot_2016-12-09-18-07-30.png

It doesn't matter what the partnership does. They are not the same company. Regardless, It's okay that we hate both of them.
Same evil different name they have hands in each others back pockets again the companies scotts bought since the deal with Monsanto all are "a broad range of gardening solutions". Might be same company but they beating off together while buying these companies
