That show is also a bit scripted, edited, and condenses many months work into 30 mins. It wouldn't shock me if they used that as additional evidence for a warrant. If the sole grounds for a warrant were FILR, I'm sure a good lawyer would get that evidence thrown out at trial. Also if that was the same episode I saw that one grower had a stupid amounts of plants in one basement. It's no shocker he was caught.

I dont believe he got caught because of a cooling device it was very evident that he was told on by an informant. The police even knew he was selling it for $6000/lb if you listen to the whole episode. Its on spike tv.com if you wanna catch it. The basic thing is back to old rules if you tell people about your operation then good luck sleeping at night. Proper cooling and odor control may also save your ass in the long run but come on this guy took no preperations and the informant on his ass didnt help either.

I thought FLIR could only be used AFTER a warrant was issued. ?

AND if u saw the one i did that dood had like 4000 watts and not a single cooling device
Yeah, thats the one I saw. It was in detroit. They said it was the most high-tech and sophisticated grow opts they ever saw. LOL it was a pretty broke ass grow op actually and they said they got millions of dollars of dope off the streets...Yeah okay! There was some shit about it being gang related too.
