So I've got thrips, Is this safe to use????

So I've been noticing the spots on my plants for a couple weeks and at first thought I had gnats or white flies (which I do) but just yesterday actually saw a thrip running around on a leaf. After reading dozens of forum posts I'm confused as to why so many people have different experiences with the same products.

Anyway, I bought this stuff at home depot and wanted to make sure it was safe to use on flowering plants. She is only 2 weeks into flower but if this takes multiple applications as some people are reporting with other products, I just want to make sure. I was hoping someone with a little more knowledge on it then me could help.
The stuff I bought is:
Ortho Elementals Insecticidal Soap
-kills fast
-for organic gardening
Active Ingredient by weight
Potasium Salts of Fatty Acids - 1%
Other Ingredients - 99%

^wtf??? there's no description of the other ingredients. But the bottle says you can use it up to the day of harvest (for edibles) My buddy brought up a good point that you typically wash fruits and veggies before eating them so this may not be safe for our application. ?
Does anyone know?

I realize there are other products to try like neem oil and azamax etc. But as stated above no one seems to have conclusive results.

Thanks

It also notes: Do not use on sweet peas, nasturtiums, delicate ferns. Use care on new seedlings, transplants and blooms.

OK I tried this on my vegging girls and after 4 days all seems to be well and in control.

WHAT I REEALLY WANT TO KNOW IS, IS THIS SAFE TO USE ON FLOWERING PLANTS?? I HAVE ONE 3 WEEKS INTO FLOWER
