Someone at Wally world today backed into my brand new BMW. I filed a police report and the report was over the obvious damage. When I got home I got a better look at the exhaust and it to was dented/bent and scratched. Can I still report this on my claim? Grrrrr

take it to a mechanic and have him look at it to make sure u didnt miss anything. ofc u know what was done to ur car but that way u have on paper that an expert inspected ur car (not sure if thats revelant in court) and seen more damage that was unknown before. i have no experience with insurance claims but i always imagine "what would judge judy say". be prepared!

thx for the replies, I took some pics of the damage, I had a "pre-estimate" from my neighbor who does body work, he said $3-$6k. The small crash also fucked up the computer in my car because it will not come off "trunk lid open", damnit!

That probably means a bent unibody ... the sensor probably reads open. cn

That sucks man. You should do what the other people with nice cars do when they go to wally world. Park Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay the fuck out in the lot and try to make sure you are in a security camera's line of sight. :peace:

I was riding with a buddy in his old PU truck & we stopped at the bank. As he was backing out he hit a V12 Mercedes! Alarm goes off, guy in a suit comes out & turns off alarm. Looks at the big dent in his car and looks at the old PU and waves us off. Get's in and drives off! WTF?
Never did figure that one out.lol!

I've been speculating on this for years.
The best I can come up with was:
1. He may have a very high deductable on collision, & low/no deductable on stolen. He thought it would be hard to get the deductable for the PU driver & was gonna report it stolen.
2.Maybe he was wanted or had warrants and didn't want any police contact
3. Car was stolen!
4.He didn't have permission to drive the Mercedes.
5. IDK?

Yeah, I'm confused too, a guy like that most likely wouldn't be wanted by the police, only thing I can think of is he didn't have permission. But that is so damn confusing. He was in a suit so it couldn't have been stolen. That's just so crazy.

I mean he was in the bank, in a suit, and driving a v12 Mercedes-Benz .
Maybe he just has "fuck it money".
