Social Stratification in the US

So you need me to spoon feed it to you, now?
Nope, just why bother even posting it to a discussion board if you're not going to add any sort of commentary to it.

Why did you post it? What point do you feel it makes? What credibility has the source of the video that makes it worth watching?

If everyone watched every YouTube video some cuck shares a link to online there'd be no time for anything else.

You Sanders people complain about income inequality but spend an inordinate amount of time watching Youtube and complaining about people who put in the work and "got theirs".

I posted this clip because it explains how social stratification works in the US

I feel it makes the point that economic justice is inherently intertwined with racial justice. Systemic racism within the economic system ensures minorities earn less income through various discriminatory practices and obtain less wealth because the same protections in place that ensure white people keep their wealth and pass it onto their descendents didn't apply to minorities for a long time. Changing this is paramount to eliminating racism in America.

"What credibility has the source of the video that makes it worth watching?"

I'm not sure what you're asking with one

You disagree with Chomsky on many of the same issues, not sure what that comment or posting her employment history is supposed to prove?
I saw the whole video and even took notes. There wasn't anything in that video that we haven't already discussed. It's focus was on economic stratification and how it propagates through generations. It also said that race plays a role too.

She started with red lining neighborhoods to exclude houme loans and how it affected wealth of generations of black and brown people.
She talked about how only high income earners affect public policy only she didn't jump to a conclusion like you did
She talked about occupation and how it affects social status.
Also how education affects occupation and income
She talked about how people born into a lower economic tier rarely move up
She talked about how many more and a much higher proportion of white americans have an advanced degree compared to black and brown people
She talked about the idea of social stratification isn't good or bad. We want doctors who worked hard to learn as much as they can.
She talked about how hard work gaining rewards is meritocracy
She referred to the fact that social status one is born into also affects the social status when an adult.

Summary statements:

"the environment that you are in during the early years of your life shapes your ability to succeed as an adult"

"race and gender are closely linked to social status"

This is not ground breaking even by RIU standards.

Do you want to make your point or were you testing to see if one of us are foolish enough to watch it. If so, I failed.
